In all three games I did not see a single drunk Albanian fan, and drunk fans were everywhere. We even had piss drunk Belgian fans in our fan section cheering for us :)

Everywhere we went fans of other teams were full of admiration of our performances. This was an image changing event for our people and our country. We focus too much on the football side of things but this tournament was way more than that. I played soccer at the JFK airport with Albanians from Kosova, partied in St Tropez with Albanians from Germany, ran into random Albanian fans all over South France, shared a cab with a professor and his son from Tirana, ate a paçe served by a waiter from Kavaja in Lyon, took the bus with a family from Struga, sang Xhamadani vija vija on the Lyon tram, and experienced countless other things that made the experience so much more enjoyable. This was not just about football for the thousands who travelled there. I guaranteed you no one who travelled to France left disappointed.
That's just fantastic! Hope I make it over next time we qualify (and with the new format, I expect this will happen much more frequently).

We completely outnumbered the Swiss, so much so that i would rarely see one or two in the streets of Lens. In Lyon we also outnumbered the Romanians and on the long road to the stadium we were dancing and singing and completely dominating. It was amazing and i agree with what you said in this post and the last one.

See people are drinking the GDB Kool-Aid after beating a terrible Romanian side...and apparently we are going to have a heroes parade for the players that is the most pathetic small mentality shit I've heard, hope he leaves but as someone said he won't the guy is prolly gonna get the equilivant of whatever the OBE is in Albania, he would instantly fail at any serie A team, as long as he lip syncs the anthem he ain't going nowhere

It is ridiculous to say De Biasi is not a good tactician. It took France 89 minutes to score a goal against us. His tactics are solid it is just the players doing the roles are not that good but the quality of the players is rising. De Biasi has improved this team in stages. He created a roster first, added some good diaspora and went to the Euros. Everything so far has been very good and even though i wanted the young generation to go to the Euros De Biasi did the righr thing taking the older players. Now higher quality players come in and we move foward.

I think the game vs macedonia should be a revolutionary one where it is a new high quality squad ready to build a proper squad tight unit throughout the qualifiers. It would be extremely disappointing for Gashi, Roshi, Basha or Kukeli to be in the squad for that game. De Biasi did right taking them to the Euros but now they are out and if they want back in the need to prove themselves.

Berisha
Hysaj. Mavraj. Ajeti. Aliji
Abrashi. Memushaj. Kace
Rashica. Sadiku. Lenjani

Subs. Hoxha. Shehi. Djimsiti. Rrahamani. Veseli. Xhaka. Basha. Roshi. Avdijaj. Gashi. Cikalleshi

This should be the square for Russia, it's a bit sad that Rama isn't used anymore as he trickery can cause other teams prbelems but somehow he went from being our best player during the world qualifiers by singlehandly scoring two goals on his own and tormenting the likes of Slovenia. Norway and Iceland. But knowing De Biazi he will do the same thing to Rashica like he did to Meha as he's too scared to play attacking football

Lol, comparing Albania of today with that under Kuzha is like comparing Skenderbeu with Basel. While Skenderbeu can surprise 1 in 100 games, Basel is a solid club which will get results.

We can knock De Biasi all we want, but he's made a living being a coach while we can sit on these forums and bitch all we want. He's changed the mentality of our players to a certain extent, but there's still a lot to be done, but we're clearly progressing.
