Sime Vrsajko signed with Napoli so Hysaj should find a new team or probably will have to sit on bench and play only Coppa Italia games.

I was fearing that they would want to upgrade Hysaj. Hopefully the deal with the Croatian doesn't happen or Hysaj will be riding the bench.
You're the delusional one. Hysaj finished a solid campaign for the second best team in Italy despite being only 21 years of age. A team like Chelsea payed 20 million pounds for Baba Rahman who's probably a step below Hysaj. If the player is young and plays regularly for a big club there will be alot of interest for the player. If it's not Chelsea it will be Juventus if not Juventus it will be Liverpool, etc.

PS, stop playing devil's advocate. We can say Vangjeli is shit and you'll argue us to death that he deserves to start over Hysaj :D

This was written on a Juve website:
The questions, and the potential issue, arise when you look at Napoli's other right back: Elseid Hysaj. The young Albanian had an absolutely tremendous campaign for the partenopei, and you could argue that he had a better season at the back than Vrsaljko. The Croatian is the better player in the final third, but in terms of defensive duties, Hysaj clearly outshone him last season.

So what happens to Hysaj now? You don't spend that much money on a player to plonk him on the bench -- well, unless you're Juventus or a big English club -- and Napoli can't afford to spend that on an occasional defensive rotational option. It's not like Vrsaljko would accept this move if that was to be his role anyways. Sure, you need depth in the Champions League, but two clear starting-quality right backs seems a tick excessive, not to mention hard to balance in terms of playing time. So what happens to Hysaj? Is he being sold, or is a quality player being doomed to the bench?

End

I think Hysaj must be leaving, Bayern, City, Atletico wherever. I think he is going now. Amazing for Albania to have a player at one of those clubs. What a draw this would be for diaspora players if we have a worldwide known player. He is only 22 aswell. Bravo Elseid.

Bayern would be really good. Or City. Either one would be so good.

Atletico is a enormous club and one of the best, they still just don't have the name of a top top team. 2 Champions league finals in 3 years and o e league title.

Has DiMarzio said anything? CdS hasn't been the best in my experience.

Yeah Hysaj has 2 assist, Vrsaljko 4. I'm sure that'll make a world of difference. You should know that offence has never been Napoli's problem, but defensively they have always been bad since Mazzari with 3-4-3 formation. Sarri finally came along and made a super attacking team, with good defending. They're not going to jeopardize that.

This Vrsaljko signing means one of two things:

1) Now that they're in CL they need depth, and Vrsaljko will often be deployed as LB as well.

2) Hysaj is being sold

I find it hard to believe Vrsaljko is there to replace him and make him a bench player.

Hysaj has so much space to go forward but he's extremely conservative. For a team like Napoli both fullbacks have to attack.

Vrsaljko is explosive offensively. If Napoli aim to win the title then I can see why they would want him.
