10-3 start... Not too bad a start, eh? Some injury concerns obviously, but team is looking good.
LOL you are a super negative fan... We happen to have plenty of top line minor league prospects that can step in and help us not skip a beat (Robles and Plawecki will get a shot to show what they got). I know the last few years have made you jaded and I know how well both D'Arnaud and Blevins have played, but things are changing in Metsland!Shpati wrote:Very big losses...
Belvins out six weeks. He was killing it. Our lefty specialist.
Travis D out 3 weeks. He was killing it too.
These injuries can ruin their groove.
Vic Black with a herniated disk so he won't add bullpen depth anytime soon.
We have beaten the teams that are in our division... That is what we need to do to make the playoffs. I would argue the wins we got so far are actually a ton more important than they would be had we faced teams not in our division. Yes, I am worried about all the key players injured and/or suspended, but the team has a certain attitude about it so far this season which can take us to the playoffs (and Wright is coming back really soon and D'Arnaud should only be out for about 4 weeks).Shpati wrote:These young minor guys they are calling up weren't expected to get call ups till September or next year. They aren't ready.
Tbh, none of these teams they beat are so far are even good.
I hope we can sweep the Braves. They are annoying. But with more key players out, I'm worried.
10 in a row, Shpati! Get psyched!Shpati wrote:I love having great pitching and pitching depth. Niese and Gee our our bottom 2 guys, but those are 2nd and 3rd starters on many teams.
I'd hate to be a fan of a team with guys with over 5-6 ERAs starting.
