Being regular doesn't mean qualifying every time. Qualifying every other time is still being a regular, and I believe they can achieve that if they manage to get their defense at the same level as their attack.

You have to be 1st in the group to auto qualify. That's going against the likes of France, Spain, Germany. Then 50/50 for the 2nd spot.

So how does this work? They'll play in a 4 team tourny against Macedonia, Georgia and the other team that won in Group D? If so, we should have made all attempts to get relegated lol. I'd take my chances playing against Malta and Azerbaijan as opposed to Scotland.

This UEFA nations league is exactly what they needed. People were laughing at them for being so bad during WCQ but they were gonna look ugly regardless considering that's their first official qualification. Playing against borderline amateur teams that don't put pressure offensively is what they needed. But I still want to see how they play against the better sides of Europe (the Romania's). Lets be real, they were playing against amateur teams.

And we should be wishing success for their NT as their success ties into ours. As their NT gets better (hopefully qualifies) it will have a trickle effect on their league and the players they produce which means better players for us. It's the same with them as a few of their starters played in the Superliga or played for our youth teams (Aliti, Rrahmani, Rashica, Vojvoda, etc). I expect we'll poach more players like Ismajli going forward who can't land a place in the starting team.

Yeah, it's 2 playoff rounds. Kosova probably faces Macedonia, and if they beat them, they face Georgia/Belarus. If they go through they get a Euro qualifying spot.

This all takes place in 2020 though lol, AFTER the real EUROs.

Ismajli seems way better than Rrahmani though. Rrahmani is not even on the bench of DZ. The dude was behind in pecking order to Gym gym, and Ismajli seems better than him.

Ismajli literally said the main reason he left was because the manager didn't give him a chance. That's why I was kinda puzzled he switched over after saying that meaning Panucci must have convinced him a bigger role. I'm not complaining because we need a shakeup in the backline. I don't think Veseli is good enough and Mavraj is getting old.

This takes place during this summer, so it applies for the Euro 2020, no? So the UEFA Nations league gives 4 teams (the winner of each tournament for each group) automatic qualification? This favors the smaller groups no? Kinda pissed we didn't get relegated so we can get easy qualification for Euro 2024 lol. Are they gonna do the same thing for WCQ?

And Ismajli is definitely better than Rrahmani or Aliti. I guess they were starting for a while now and because they weren't leaking goals against Malta and Fraroe Islands. Didn't give the manager a good excuse to bench one of them for him. Ismajli plays in the mold of Cana, aggressive and breaks up plays.

I also wonder if we're gonna be a destination for the homegrown Kosovar talents since the diaspora players are gonna gentrify the Kosova NT like they did with our NT lol.

Nah, the playoffs are only for teams who don't qualify "normally", that's why they're held AFTER the EURO qualis, and right before the actual EURO tournament.

So this is actually held the year OF (2020). If Kosova manages to qualify normally for example, their spot in the playoffs is lost.

Ismajli also said that he had chosen albania a long time ago and some other politics kept him from playing. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Oh9uYKoWbbg . He was the captain of their u21 and they weren’t too bad they tied Germany 0-0, I doubt he wasn’t going to have a chance over aliti
