how could you possibly know better than Hasi what's best for him? cmon nowErik wrote:Apparently gone to Legia Warsa. What an idiot. Had offers from Trabzon, Galatasaray and even one from Nottingham Forrest in the championship which even that would of been better imo
I can give my opinion and moving from Anderlecht to Warsaw seems like a step back to me. Maybe he sees something in the Polish league that everyone else doesn't but at least at Nottingham forest he'd have recognition and a shot at promotion to the premier league.Plako wrote:how could you possibly know better than Hasi what's best for him? cmon nowErik wrote:Apparently gone to Legia Warsa. forest are a glorious historic club but the Championship is one of the hardest leagues in the world in terms of competition and gruesomeness. I think it's the longest football season at 46 games + playoffs if you come in top 6. Legia are Polish champs and will play CL football. if he makes the group stage that'd be a huge achievement and it's not crazy to think Legia might make it with a bit of luck. also they're pretty much guaranteed EL group stage. the polish league, much like that of Belgium, is top heavy with a couple of clubs (Lech Poznan is the other) fighting it out for the title year in year out.Erik wrote:I can give my opinion and moving from Anderlecht to Warsaw seems like a step back to me. The Nottingham Forest deal according to reports was concrete and on the table, maybe they offered him only 1 season which some clubs tend to do.Plako wrote:forest are a glorious historic club but the Championship is one of the hardest leagues in the world in terms of competition and gruesomeness. So guaranteed CL and EL football and a pretty good shot at retaining the title. also financially England I think has a much higher income tax rate than Poland so he is probably making as much money as he'd make elsewhere. maybe he'd make more in turkey but not sure if the offers from there were concrete.

Well it's extremely competitive and now you're going to have Newcastle and Aston Villa added to the mix which will make the league even harder.Erik wrote:The championship is the most difficult league but it can very rewarding and I reckon as long as he got forest in the top 10 first season he'd get another shot at it the season after. They have some decent players to work with.
I think he's more comfortable with this kind of setup since Anderlecht is the only club he's coached and Legia and Anderlecht are very similar imo.Erik wrote:If he is happy with a top heavy league and champions league/Europe league football and be that kind of journeyman manager than its fine but he's a young talented coach and had an opportunity there.
Yeah it's almost identical scenario to the one he had at Anderlecht. You'd think if the Galatasaray job was on the table he'd have taken it instead though so it probably wasn't.Plako wrote:Well it's extremely competitive and now you're going to have Newcastle and Aston Villa added to the mix which will make the league even harder.Erik wrote:The championship is the most difficult league but it can very rewarding and I reckon as long as he got forest in the top 10 first season he'd get another shot at it the season after.
