Kumbulla has the potential to be the best CB in the world, especially in today's day and age where great CBs are far and few between.

I've never heard of any player playing 3-4 months in a top league and already teams were already quoting 30 million price tag. And it would have probably been higher if it wasn't for Coronavirus.

Stop hyping him! He's good, but he's very slow. He won't be as good as you're hyping him to be.

Speed is not that important for a CB.

He was subbed out in the 45 min today.. injury or...?

Kumbulla wasn't injured but he was booked early and didn't any put brakes on his game after card and clearly was better than Rrahmani and Gunter on first half. Probably has to do something with "transfer".

He went from Primavera straight to Serie A starter. Which normal player makes those leaps....And especially at defence, that is a position all about experience.

Look at what Rrahmani did:

Kosova -> Albania -> Average Croatian team -> Top Croatian Team -> Bottom Table Serie A team

And I applaud Rrahmani, because that is what you SHOULD do. Hyka/Roshi went straight from Superliga -> Bundesliga and got fucked. That is the path ALL players from A/K should follow.

But when a player SKIPS all those stages at such a young age, that is abnormal. Even Januzaj tried to make that leap and he fucked it up.

Something about him being booked. The ratings had him at a "6" and said he was doing well.

Unlike Rrahmani and the others, Kumbulla is not an Albanian product, he is an Italian product..

Club wise, yes. But he's been playing with our youth teams since forever. That shaped him as well.

You can't ignore 5 years of NT coaching, especially at that young of an age...

Kumbulla came through Verona's youth ranks. It's completely different...

It's much different for players from Albania and Kosova. I do agree with your approach btw. Young Albanian superliga players need to go through Croatia then to a real European league. I hope the trend to Croatia continue and more networks in Turkey are established. Poland also seems like a league that is becoming more of an outlet too.

Liridon Balan scored a Hattrick and made an assist for Aarau against Lausanne.
