Biggest problem of Skenderbeu is that Sahiti guy. He plays like a complete braindead amateur. He sticks out big time compared to everyone else(who are playing at a professional level). He lost the ball every time he dribbled, passed to the opponent every time he tried to pass, almost cost Skender a goal too.
with latifi we would be up 2-0 for sure. the mids and sowe are doing great but the wingers suck

^ Yeah.

Sowe is a beast. His work ethic is insane and he's not that bad with his feet either.

How is Skenderbeu gonna match up with Partizan?

It's sad they lost Latifi. Dude literally downgraded for a paycheque.

Going by transfermarkt they seem more or less on Young Boys' level. Skenderbeu is obv. below all these teams individually, but it's not impossible to get some points off of them.

Skenderbeu is capable of beating anyone but they also have a lot of problems defensively. They take too many risks and pass back to the goalkeeper a lot. Shehi is amazing but when you're in constant pressure it's a matter of time before you screw up.

Biggest problems are the wings. Vangjeli is good, Gavazaj is ok but Sahiti is terrible. Mici is ok but too soft defensively. Taku is not good enough for this level. Imagine if they still had Bernard Berisha and Latifi with the squad they have now. It would be a killer.

Skenderbeu held Partizan Belgrade to a 0-0 draw in Elbasan. Great result and thank god Skenderbeu didn't get embarrassed by the Serbs. Skenderbeu is also 1 point out of 2nd place in the group. Imagine if they advance to the knockout rounds?

Why would they get embarrassed? It's not like Partizan is that much better, and it's a home match.

That being said they haven't won a game since 3rd round of qualifiers. Mostly ties and a loss.

You're right about that, Partizan certainly ain't the best team out there but it's nice to see them not getting embarrassed by a Serbian club. And they haven't won a game but they're competitive which is all we can ask for. They tied Young Boys which are currently 1st place in the Swiss league and didn't lose TOO bad to Dynamo Kiev. Skenderbeu being competitive in Europe is great for Albanian football as it forces the other teams to raise their quality and gives a platform for Albanian players to showcase their talent. Jashanica will probably be sold next in January.
