I feel bad for panucci too, the team was falling apart before he even got here. Wrong time wrong place for him. You can tell he’s trying but there’s not too much he can do with this group of players. He fielded our best line today (other than memushaj) and other than subbing off memushaj instead of kace there was literally nothing better he could of done for us. The new group of players (grezda, Mihaj, ismajli) is not that bad but we’ve had bad luck consistently put together with the gdb players getting too old or injured and this is what we have. Another coach won’t make it much better either. Btw what happened to abrashi, feels like he’s been injured since the Romania game lol

De Biasi at least had Sadiku even last campaign. We've missed countless chances with Balaj upfront.

My only problem with Panucci is he tinkers way too fucking much. But the lineup this game wasn't bad. Mavraj just fucked it up.

Exactly. He took over a sinking ship and is being unfairly criticised and harassed by the media as if they think that our players are gods. De Biasi had our full pool of talent to deal with this, and always played the same team. Panucci has actually found new players and brought in new talent. He tinkers way too much and hasn't found a actual game plan to stick to yet and that's a critical flaw, but what Albania needs the most is someone to discover new talent. If GDB had to deal with this we would have lost our games anyway, regardless of if it was 1-0 or 4-0.
I think there is no way out other than Panucci being fired but I feel sorry for him not knowing how demanding the job is with little resource, as well as no one giving him any praise for finding good players.

Di Biasi actually inherited a pretty much bad team when he was hired in 2012, much worst talent wise than the team Panucci inherited from Di Biasi. The dutch coach before DB didn't bother calling up new players and was starting Ervin Skela when he was like 38 years old and playing for a 5th division team (I'm not even joking about this).

The first thing DB did when he accepted the offer was calling up Mavraj, Kukeli and Alban Meha for that friendly against Qatar in 2012. For his first WC qualification cycle we were still starting guys like Bogdani, Salihi, Bulku, Curri, Teli (had a start against Norway when Cana was suspended), the legendary Emiljano Vila who was by FAR the most hated player back in our old forum, Gabon Lika (made a start against Iceland lol). To put in perspective Andi Lila back in 2013 was considered one of our best players but to his defense he was playing as a right back and he was actually decent at that position.

For that WC qualification campaign DB started to recruit alot of players. He must have called up something like 20-30 new players the first few years of his tenture. It wasn't until the start of the Euro Qualification Campaign that he found his core and stuck with it. But he wouldn't have found that if he didn't recruit a large pool and eliminate the rejects (example like Fidan Aliti, Azdren Lullaku, Agon Mehmeti, etc). Besides Uzuni and Binaku these are all Di Biasi players.

I do like how Panucci is trying recently to call up new players like Ismajli and Uzuni but he should have done this earlier. I've been saying this for a while but the core of the team is still the same team as that Euro team. We are still starting Balaj FFS. There are players out there. We make threads about this but yet the best guy they can find is Egli Kaja?

But it's clear Panucci has lost the team. Our results have been really bad. We are getting our shit kicked by the likes of Israel and Scotland. I get that we've been "unlucky" with weak penalty calls and mental errors but it's also a sign that the team isn't disciplined. This shit happens every fucking game.

We have a new stadium that's almost finished. Let's get a new coach and hopefully we can start that person on the right foot to generate some interest. Talent wise we aren't that bad as long as Grezda and Uzuni get playing time in their clubs. We just need a LB and a holding midfielder, we've never found a replacement for Kukeli.

Is this game any different than the time we lost 0-3 to Israel with De Biasi? This was an exact repeat of that scenario. Dumb mistake in the first few minutes, and had to play with 10 players the whole time.

The worst part is that it's always our starting defenders who make these dumb mistakes. First Djimsiti, then Mavraj. Both of them are extremely error prone. Hopefully Ismajli doesn't make those dumb errors. Gym-gym is just a bad defender. Too bad we have no one else. Ajeti is gone, and Dermaku shouldn't even be a pro footballer.

After Cyprus failed to beat Norway, we are NOT being relegated to League D.

It is, we're playing like shit most of the time and it feels like Panucci spends more time trimming his beard than explaining his tactics to the players.

FSHF seems has spent all their money and is going after stagist coaches . They’ve contacted Bledar Kola who serves as vice-coach at AEK Athens . Even he let them down and doesn’t want the job.

On the other hand Besnik Hasi has collected 8 points in 8 matches this start of the season with his arab team.

Panucci is only being paid like 140k/year. That's way less than DB ain't it?

Does anyone think that this lost discipline in the team is not to do with the loss of DB, but the loss of Cana?
