Skenderbeu will be in second division next season. Serves them right

Tbh, as long as level of the league will not drop, then we can say it serves them right. There are no guarantees though, so it sucks for our football, that they're falling apart.

I don't think the quality will drop because there wasn't any to begin with. But I do think we lose the only team that can possibly make the Europa or Champions League in the next few years. I just don't see Kukesi being able to do it and Partizani have flopped for years, I doubt they get better. All match fixing aside Skenderbeu was the most professional team in the league (a bit of a oxymoron).

Skenderbeu personifies Albania in a nutshell. Only got to the top because of corruption, but did good while there. And instead of stopping the corruption at that point, Takaj had to put his fucking hand in the cookie jar one more time, even though Skenderbeu makes millions in transfer fees and EL/CL money. Fat greedy f*** for a couple of pennies just destroyed the one decent team in Albania. It's like someone who's rich still using food stamps.

Anyhow, I'd keep my eye out for Flamurtari. They're the only team more successful than Skenderbeu in Europe historically, are based in a major city with much better weather (+ beaches) than Korce where it snows/freezes over in winter, and Daja went from coaching Skenderbeu to them. He's a good coach, so they'll benefit plenty,

Come on dude as great as Daja may be you can't pin Skenerbeu's success to him. Remember you were singing Josa's praises when he was at Skenderbeu. Where is he now?

I didn't pin their success down to him. But he was massive in getting them a win over DZ. What Skenderbeu did going through so many rounds to the group stages was insane. You can't blame DZ not going through on Duka corrupting the league, etc...

As for Josa, didn't he win the cup in Kosova, right after winning the cup in Albania? Maybe he's not great at leagues, but in tournaments he's quite good.

I mean yes the coaches do have some merit but knowing what we know about Skenderbeu now (and we all knew this already) it does cast a shadow of doubt over their success. Same with the Kukesi coach who got canned right after winning the title last year.

We have some good coaches man. Succeeding in Albania is one thing, but doing so in Europe with teams that have a much higher budget is a completely different thing.

But dude they were fixing European games, it's why they got banned. Not because of the domestic match-fixing.
