No doubt Cana was consulted because he's like a 2nd coach in the team but I don't see something wrong with that. If they made the decision collectively then even better.
Before we overreact and start lynching people let's take a couple of things into consideration:
- Every player was wearing some GPS tracker in training to measure the body and considering that Xhimi was practically on "vacation" for most of the year perhaps he just didn't pass the tests?? De Biasi made it clear that he would take to France only those who are physically ready.
- Veseli is a good defender. You guys are sleeping on him but he might be better than Xhimi technically and obviously physically(since he actually played this year).
- I like Xhimi and MORALLY(based on his contributions in the qualifiers) he deserved to be in but damn.. only we Albanians are crying over a player who hasn't sniffed the field in 12 months at club level. Yes I know that recently he played but those are called garbage minutes. Come on man.. come on.
- We don't have players who can make a difference. Everyone is equal so if one is more in shape than the other then you gotta do what you gotta do. The coaching staff knows this the best.. Let's stop complaining that some world beaters were left out. We can feel bad for them but should get over it quickly but it's not worth getting all riled up about it.

Wats funny is that he said xhim didnt play enough minutes with his club yet he takes roshi who has playd less mins then xhim. And you cant say well roshi has contributed to the nt and has playd cus hasnt xhim done the same thing?Plako wrote:I have to agree. I am not mad about Rashica tbh but omitting Xhim is an absolute travesty.

The inside info went out of the window when Xhimi's fatass came out of shape in training camp.
Aliji earned himself a spot too.

I agree 100%Plako wrote:I did not have much hope going into this tourney and i think we will get murdered there but at least I enjoyed the camaraderie of the players and was looking ahead to the matches. Now I don't give a flying fvck, All that good will they built over these past few months is now gone. And then we blame the likes of Xherdan and Granit for choosing Switzelrand over us.

I have to disagree on Roshi. Roshi runs like a headless chicken but he can be an impact sub. He gave the cross to Balaj in the Portugal and created our best chance vs. Denmark in the away game when he came on. You can count on Roshi to create one or two decent chances from the right when we're countering in the last 15 minutes.nikobellic wrote:Wats funny is that he said xhim didnt play enough minutes with his club yet he takes roshi who has playd less mins then xhim. I'm mad about Xhim as he started several games when Mavraj was injured and scored against Armenia. Now Veseli may be better but he has never played for us before. This is the most puzzling part. I'm glad Aliji is in though. Can't be mad about Rashica tbh.

TBH I've seen worse from a coach, Klinsmann left Donovan out of the WC roster for Julian Green. If it's solely due to football reasons I can't be mad at GDB but if there are other shenanigans going on the in the background I'd be super pissed. Let's see how events unfold in the next few days. Veseli better give the performance of his lifetime against Ukraine or he'll get crucified.

Kudos to him but Amir knew he was out from Day 1. I can see why Berat would be furious though. Rashica I don't care tbh if he's mad.Dallku wrote:We need more players with this mentality
