Point is that no one rejects talent. Nobody gives a shit about nationality, color of skin, bla bla. More or less everyone gets what they deserve in this sport. If you can play then they will let you play. Simple as that.

Now Migjeni is right about the sponsorship thing. That's a whole different discussion though.

Dude he's playing in the Swiss Second Division. That's worse than the Albanian league. For a guy who's scored a match winning goal in Euros, qualifiers and Villareal, no one seems to be giving a shit about him. If Sadiku was a German international you'd bet he'd be on a Bliga team right now (whether he succeeds or not is a different matter).

There are tons of "diamonds in the rough" who aren't scouted. Hysaj would've never went to Napoli if his coach didn't bring him there. Playing for a big international team increases your scouting prospective ten fold.

Aurora has a point though.
Dallku makes it as if every talent scout is some kind of unfailable football expert when it couldn't be farthest from the truth (otherwise we would see a way more levelled football).
You see all kind of amateur players playing for some big teams. But for some reason this never happens with Albanian players. It can happen a player may reveal more than expected if he plays for a better team, but almost never Albanians are given such a chance.

Insane that someone could think Sadiku could not hack it at a Bundesliga or Serie A club.

Ask anyone who went and watched him live at the Euros what they think of him and you will have your answer.

Another hostacle to the Albanian players playing in Europe is the foreigner status quo. Most of the clubs prefer giving that spot to south americans and africans ahead of our talented players (yet to prove) . Napoli is interested in Rashica but does have only two spots after Higuain left to get foreign players : http://it.eurosport.com/calcio/serie-a/ ... tory.shtml So basically our players at some point are on competition for few spots at some teams.

The whole citizenship thing is a valid point. That makes it harder for foreign teams to snatch up Albanian players, For example, England can't grant a non-EU player a working visa unless that player is a regular for their NT or something. For an Albanian Superliga player that's gonna be a tough accomplishment.

But that being said the Albanian Superliga hasn't produced any talent what so ever is the biggest reasons teams don't take risks. Fortunately, the products have improved as recent the league has produced players like Berisha, Olayinka, Rrahmani, Cikaleshi? Before them in a span of 6 years? Roshi, Sadiku, Balaj, Lila? That's the biggest reason. Until they invest in the youth academies and until Albanian teams start reaching European competition regularly to showcase these talents than it will be much or more the same.

But I do think Italy and Croatia are starting to snatch up the players. With the improvement of the NT I think you'll see more teams take low risk gambles on Albanian players.

Man if you're a decent talent they'll fix your citizenship issues and that's for Albs from Albania. Most of our diaspora are already dual citizens so they have no problems. If EU teams can't snatch you then others will like Dinamo Zagreb, Russians, Turks, etc.. You will eventually be found out and get to a club you deserve to be in. For some it might take a little longer than for some others but it will eventually happen. You can't be Barcelona material and play for KF Terbuni while everyone is ignoring you.. It's year 2016 and with all the internet, social media, scouts, etc.. it's impossible for anyone to be isolated.

Btw does for anyone else this whole Sadiku hype remind you an awful lot of Salihi from a couple years ago?? Identical. Don't get your hopes up about this guy.

I'm not sure. There are numerous examples of US players from the MLS getting their work permit rejected by the UK because they didn't get a certain amount of caps with their NT(something like they needed to be called up 50% or 75% of the time).

But like I said before the quality of the players in the Superliga ain't there yet. Youth development poor and none of the teams are able to showcase their talent in the EL or CL because they can never qualify. Notice how Skenderbeu was able to sell Berisha and Olayinka after qualifying for the EL? Almost sold Latifi as well.

I think progress is being made though, slowly though.
