Strakosha outside of the close to goal area is a disaster. Glad he kept a clean sheet.

Strakosha was only shaky once when he couldn't decide whether to punch it or grab it. Other than that he was very busy and saved their asses many times. I think Berisha would've conceded at least 1today.

I thought he was solid. He came out once with a Neuer like save almost halfway through our half and he also made a really nice at the top of the box. He was definitely our best player today. Binaku was also solid. We just need to stop making some stupid errors in defense.

He was lucky when came out of the box :D When the goalkeeper is the man of the man it says it all.

Israel had many chances but that's what you get with a Djimsiti-Veseli pairing and them playing on counter attacks. Albania is pretty bad defending counters in general.

Albania cannot play without Mavraj and Ajeti was the 2nd best CB but he disappeared into the abyss. Djim and especially Veseli do not guarantee safety at all.

Thanks for whoever posted that link of the replay.

Strakosha was definitely MOTM for me. He saved us from 1-2 goals in the beginning.
Binkaj was very good. Very good crosser/passer and he's also pretty tall (for a LB) and athletic. It seemed like the offense ran through him. Although Israel was giving him lots of room to cross.
Bashsa was great in the middle. Pretty much a deep lying playmaker for us.
Hyka too many back and side passes. We need Grezda back. I can't believe we have come to the point where Hyka is captain..
The backline makes way too many mistakes. Too many stupid passes and they get burnt on the counter. Gym didn't look bad to me though. Hysaj needs to play better.
Gavazaj okay. Tries hard, makes runs, decent in possession.
Guri looked okay. He gets in good positions and works hard. The goals will hopefully come.

Some obvious replacements going forward is Grezda (when he's healthy) for Hyka and Ndoj/Kace for Memushaj. I think this team needs a winger in the mold of Rama who can take on defenders and create chances with his dribbling. Maybe Abazaj can be that if he ever gets playing time for Anderlecht?
