Hadergjonaj was more naturally talented than Hysaj. I watched them both in Serie B/Europa League back in the day. Hysaj has almost 0 natural talent as a footballer. He had no creativity and his acceleration was bad and gets beaten constantly.

But Hysaj just seemed way more disciplined and a harder worker. His faults are being exposed now (which I mentioned since he played with Empoli in Serie B), but his career has undeniably been 1-2 tiers above Hadergjonaj's. Hysaj is a perfect example of where hard work can get you even though you're not naturally gifted.

Hysaj is a defensive fullback. He excels in roles where's he's not asked to be an attacking threat and instead defend. Ancelotti likes attacking fullbacks which makes him useless for him. For Albania he's asked to go forward and be more of an attacking threat since we have no offensive ability. We think that since he plays for Napoli that he must be some sort of impactful player but he's not. He's just a good defensive RB and for a team like Albania that has no technical ability in the lineup that's useless.

The problem in Albania is the environment and mentality. The level of servility is beyond logic, so Hysaj no matter what he does he will remain the "Napoli star" and nobody will ask for responsibility. We will always find someone to blame, who isn't that rich and ***licker as Duka sons.

Hysaj is the most criticized Albanian player ever. The media and fans can't stop shitting on him and most of it is unfair. He has always been criticized because Albanians expect world class performances from him just because he plays for a club like Napoli.

Imo Hysaj has always been solid. Nothing special but nothing terrible either. Definitely a better RB than we've ever had in the past.. Occasionally he might get beaten by pace but that's normal. He rarely ever makes huge errors like your typical Albanian defender will do. Lorik Cana used to make fatal mistakes every game but people still worshiped him.

It's not true! How many times Hysaj was benched? I don't remember when Hysaj was our best performer, even for U21 had horrendous performances. Cana had ups and downs but still played with heart and passion inspired even other players. Balaj yesterday looked like was forced to play, like he never wanted to be part of team also Roshi was asleep during most part of match. There no excuse to play like cunts for national team, even if u are playing out of position, Lorik Cana never played as cunt for NT and we was absolutely sure Lorik has nothing left on the "tank" while we can't say for 90% of actual players.

His performances never warranted for him to get benched...that's ridiculous. The standards for him are so high(because he plays for Napoli) that anything less than world class performances and he's treated like the worst player in the history of the game by fans/media. Just because he might get burned occasionally doesn't mean he's horrible. Lucas Hernandez got burned about 3-4 times by a "Russian league benchwarmer" in Roshi yesterday. Does that mean Hernandez is horrible? All fullbacks get burned by speedy wingers, even the best ones. Hysaj rarely ever makes retarded/amateurish mistakes and that separates him from other Albanian defenders. At least he can do the basics..

This reminds me of Serbian fans criticizing Vidic for the NT while he was one of the best CBs in Europe. Not saying Hysaj is the best but he's definitely the LEAST of our problems. Albania has a million problems and Hysaj aint one. People just gravitate towards the shiny objects and bigger names in this case.

People need to understand that it's a collective game too. Mavraj didn't exactly make Hysaj's job easier yesterday and neither did the midfield... playing out of position doesn't help either.

Cana is the most overrated Albanian player ever ability wise but his patriotism/gimmick put him on a pedestal and kept him in good terms with fans throughout his career. Him ending his NT career with a red card at the Euros pretty much summed him up as a player. It was the most fitting ending. (Hysaj also gets shitted on because he never talks.)
