To make it in Albania you need to be 3-4 times as naturally talented as other places because you are penalized for years of shit youth coaching.
You hit the nail on the head, we're currently lacking youth coaching, which was in decent shape in at least 6 clubs: Tirana, Partizani, Dinamo, Vllaznia, Besa and Flamurtari. In the 1970's Vllaznia for example had a very talented trio of Sabah Bizi, Ramazan Rragami and Din Zhega and all 3 grew up in the same neighborhood in Shkoder and were scouted at a very young age by Vllaznia. Shkodra also had a specific soccer school and "ekipet zinxhire" were an essential part of the clubs not just in soccer but basketball and volleyball as well. Several middle schools in Tirana for example were affiliated with the top 3 clubs and provided youth players for the teams. This whole system came apart in the early 1990's when the communist regime fell and everything they built was dismantled overnight. We were still playing until the early 2000's with youth products from those days: Rraklli, Tare, Skela, Lala, Vata, Kola, Strakosha were the core of the team. These days we're not even able to produce talent of that caliber and are playing upfront with scrubs from the second divisions. Just compare the Rraklli/Tare/Bogdani's careers to our current forwards Balaj/Cika/Sadiku and judge for yourselves.

Lorent Tolaj has 8 goals in 5 games and a assist for Brighton U18. Can we pay him to play for us :rrokullisem:

We've had youth players like Manaj play for Inter under Mancini that are now playing in Spanish Second Division. These youth goals mean nothing really.

How come this logic doesn't apply to Broja.

You're right. But one argument is that Chelsea has one of the best youth set ups. They produced many players and much more than a team like Brighton. And that being said by probability alone Broja won't make it at Chelsea. If Broja ends up being a forward for a team like Southampton I think that's a massive success.

I don't know, maybe because one plays for Albania's U-21 and the other for Swiss U-19.
