Braithwaite having the game of his life. 2 goals 1 assists is nearly 4ga, his league total of last season. Looking quality this game.

He was actually the only Barca player to not warm up at all in this game. Even when they were up 3-0.

And Braithwaite played as a winger so I don't think Manaj is his competition. Barca doesn't mind playing with a false striker since their attackers are very versatile. If anything that's their identity.

In positive news though, Balliu is starting as a RB.

I hope Manaj got some assurances that he will at least play some minutes. Otherwise he is taking a major gamble staying. But he did make the squad list, which Pjanic Umtiti and Coutinho couldn't do, so there's that.

Manaj is the backup of Memphis yea. Let's hope Balliu gets off to a better start than Rey and Keidi.

I don't know what people expected. He'll have the same deal he had at Inter. In the league only garbage minutes at the end, but might start in the cup against shit teams or something.

All this noise about Manaj is nonsensical.

Sugar Ray is the bus driver at Barca, much like he was at Inter. Would of done better to seek playing time elsewhere.

Nah. We need Albos in top clubs. Even as subs.

We're a seriously underperforming nation in football. Need to raise the bar.

Koeman is a very reactionary manager. If Manaj plays well when he gets the chance and scores some goals he will definitely work his way up the pecking order. The fact he's even made it to their LaLiga squad shows he's probably impressed him already so let's hope he gets some chances soon...

From the training vids I've seen of Manaj over the years, he's always been very good in training. At Inter, Albania, and Barca. I checked their last training vid and Manaj was scoring nonstop.

His "success" might seem weird to us, but there is an explanation.

Training is just training. Players are not going full out for fear of injury and respect for team mates.

Albania will face the biggest test in years next month. It would be nice if the starting striker had some playing time under his belt.
