Florian Marku is scheduled for 10 rounds against Ireland’s Dylan Moran on the 2nd of September at the Manchester Arena.

255th ranked Moran is on an 8 fight win streak, boasting a record of 18 wins (8 KOs), and 1 loss by KO. Marku will make his long awaited return after over a year out the ring. He last beat Miguel Parra Ramirez by UD in front of a sold out crowd at Air Albania Stadium!

Florian Marku is the Albanian King for a reason!

Marku has it all.. good looks, work ethic, and a level of charisma not seen since Lorik Cana. From the pre-fight build up to the actual event itself, he never fails to entertain. Marku may not be the best pure boxer in the world, but he is truly a show man!

In an age where Albanian athletes lack personality, Marku sticks out like a sore thumb. Fans would pack out York Hall to watch him fight, and recently sold out Air Albania for his long awaited homecoming. Whether Albanians admit it or not, they love Florian Marku!

This is perfect description of Marku. He's more of a showman than a boxer and truly excels at marketing his games to the Albanian diaspora.

Albanian King is favoured to stop Dylan Moran within 10 rounds this weekend in Manchester.

5 way..
Marku by stoppage (-175)
Marku by decision (+220)
Moran by stoppage (+900)

Draw (+1600)

Marku looks to make a big statement in his long awaited return after over a year out the ring.

I'm not a boxing fan but is Marku the equivalent of a football player who plays in the English championship? Pretty much a boxer in the second/third tier fighting systems?

Albanian King is closing in on a huge fight against Chris Kongo that should be finalized soon..

Bad matchup for Marku as Kongo stands 6 feet tall and is no slouch, having recently lost a narrow MD when he challenged Ekow Essuman for the British welterweight title about a year ago in Manchester.

While 31 year old Kongo (14-2, 7 KOs) does not pack much power behind his punches, he has never been knocked out and is a talented boxer. Big risk for the Albanian King, as he finally steps up in competition.

Marku is coming in with all the momentum in the world here. He has never lost in the ring, but will be fighting at a pretty substantial size disadvantage. If it was me advising Florian, I would tell him not to take this fight.

God bless Marku and good luck to him!
