Albanians abroad

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

Leverkusen has a 42 game unbeaten streak as well. Roma came close when they were 2-0 up, but Leverkusen came back to tie 2-2.

It means nothing. Even Rudi Vata's son is not playing for us.
not the same , are we forgetting his son is only half albanian and doesn’t even speak the language . guys basically scottish/irish.

How is it not the same? Not sure if Gruda's mom is Albanian but isn't Gruda basically German? What's the difference between the two?

Both Leverkusen and Atalanta looked superior to Roma, like faster, stronger and full of stamina, lol.

Proud of Xhim boy. An Albanian captain lifting a European trophy and ending Leverkusen's 42 game streak that even Bayern couldn't end.

And to think Di Biasi dropped Gym from the Euro 2016 roster many moons ago. Albania really lucked out that he wasn't eligible to switch to Kosovo or to Switzerland.

Albania has really lucked out in having a diaspora that has been able to keep it competitive.

Lol, Gym, Rrahmani and Rashica have had way better careers compared to the players that made the list. They probably needed that as motivation to become better!
