With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

Rashica should be capped but he is more like a secone striker or RW so if Avdiaj doesn't come even after being qualified for the Euros then get Olyainka . He is one of the most outstanding players in Superliga, has like 6 assist and 4 goals . He is better than Salihi because he can run and the way we play we need very fast wingers and strikers . Balaj -Cikalleshi and Sadiku are very slow , they do their driblings like it was a slow motion movie...
Yeah I wouldn't mind Olayinka on the NT over someone like Salihi. He seems like a talented young player but Duka probably wouldn't allow him to join because he's African.

Rightly so. He has no business with the NT.

Honestly, if he spoke Albanian, could sing the anthem and truly felt in his heart like a shqipe then I'd welcome him with open arms. But since it's just for economics in the sense that we're just trying to buy international players, then we could do much better than this ffs
I got approval for 2 weeks in June from work so I will be there on a paid vacation . So now anyone has asked Uefa how they validate your nationality. Do we need Albanian passport or a paper verification saying that we are Albanian nationals will be enough? Anyone has any answers? I tried to contact Uefa but it only gives phone numbers and no emails.
I'm a bit torn on the African guy. Have no idea who he is so just taking your word on him. One one side I say wtf?, but then again for a lot of years I've seen players strongly disassociating themselves from Albania. He has always wanted Albania tbf. Who's more Albanian? Him or Kone, Januzaj and many others? Or is our nationality a colour thing? It better be as lately all we've talked about is how to get an Albanian passport
About the feeling of nationality or patriotism vs economics: don't tell me that Donis Avdiaj is a patriot or that when he wanted to join the national team did it only because he loves our team . When he had comportamental problems wih his club and didn't have a single minute in pro football , with the advice of his manager because of economic and marketing benefits he asked to join our team but now that they called him the "national albanian" doesn't care. Olayinka doesn't feel albanian and will probably never be , but well he speaks albanian, it's been a while that he is living in Albania. Doesn't mind to join the national team. He is only 19 and has great potential to become a great player for our standarts, better than any striker we have. Look at Croatia or even Armenia , they got Eduardo and Pizzelli who are their best attacking players they have . Not that Croatia lacks strikers and Eduardo was playing in their domestic football. Just saying that if Olyainka gets tested in a friendly for the National team i personally wouldn't mind at all. Even Switzerland was going mad after Embolo (the 17 years old who benched Gashi) and they capped Embolo. The politics in the national team should allow us at least to cap every single player that has potential. Players like Tarashaj should be capped too but at this stage i seriously doubt that he would join us if there is a slim chance he plays for Swizerland .
Embolo is a different situation. Switzerland has a multicultural NT and Emobolo is considered to be one of the top prospects in the world. Olayinka? He's a guy that left Skenderbeu when they needed him most(for qualification) and decided to come back immediately after they qualified. Olayinka wasn't part of Skenderbeu's success and that to me is a bad sign of character. Not to mention Olayinka has decent stats playing for a team that steamrolls the competition. Olayinka won't raise the NT's level and you're naive to think he will make some impact.
Why stop at Olayinka why not go for the premier neutralized players? Might as well go after someone like Paloshi from Chievo and claim he's an Abreshe with the name Paloshaj and get a real player.
I would be totally cool with this guy playing. It's better to have guys who want to play for the team as opposed to guys who only play for Albania because they aren't good enough to play for their home country.
You can change his name Pjetër Afrikani or something to make the racists/nationalists feel more comfortable.
Well Duka closed any single hope , Duka saying with diplomacy that doesn't want a negro in our team. Heil , NT Fuhrer Duka ! Only clean albanian national team!

That's what I was trying to say also. If we're just trying to get guys who are clearly not Shqipes we could do better than Olayinka I think. If anything it's about time we start stealing some Greeks/Italians
