With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!
Milot Rashica got an assist and won a penalty. Vitesse failed to win any of the games Rashica was injured, now with him back they are 3-0 up.
Shame he isn't the penalty taker as it would add to his goals tally.
Very solid game by Hysaj again, Pogba couldn't do a shit, in first half he almost gave an assist to Higuain if there wasn't the strong Bonucci.

How was Zeneli?
I watched only the second half, but it was all Vitesse. Zeneli's team hardly ever attacked ao the foward players were anonymous.
However, boyyy do we have a player on our hands in Rashica. What a blessing he is, and above it all he is already ours so we don't have to hope he will choose us. Seems patriotic as he hasn't bought into this 'Kosova' national team bs. It is crucial that the Albania team has a key player from the Kosova region in it's team as other people from that region will look up to him and it will destroy this idea of seperate teams. If Kosova cannot convince Rashica who was born and raised there to play for Kosova they have no credibility whatsoever, Rashica is so good he can become the poster boy for Albania for the next 10 years. The only thing the Kosova 'national team' is holding onto as of now os Celina, if Albania get him it is game over. Celina should get a big hype now as he will get some gametime with all the injuries Man City have and is meant to start vs Chelsea in the FA Cup, so we will see what will happen.
Surely, he'll be capped. Alot of the media are pressing him about Rashica and he just typically responds "We'll see" or ""He's played well but he's still inexperienced..". Not to mention he's been part of the U-21,19,17 setups, don't spite the kid. Just drop Shala ffs
I have a feeling that Jupi and Bushi actually think him playing for the youth teams is better for his career development
Lol inexperienced or not he's still better than nearly every player in our National team regardless of their position. How many of our players would even get into the Vitesse side. Age is only used by coaches who are scared.
In direct competition to Rashica we have: Gashi who plays in the MLS, Roshi who plays in Croatia and Lenjani who is an left back. Roshi who has been hyped to the max, would never make the Vitesse side and for me that says everything. Gashi is a joke and i wouldn't even call him up for the Euros and Lenjani should be our starting left back.
It's too early to proclaim him as the greatest thing since sliced bread. We need to see more of him at higher levels. I mean the Dutch league is a good youth league but they don't play a lick of defense so performances of attackers there can be a bit misleading. Rashica with the u21's really hasn't been better than Cekici and Latifi. I just hope it's because he doesn't take that level/team seriously.
