So it looks like Lenjani to the bench then with Rashica and Gashi starting on the wings. I don't like seeing Lenjani on the bench as he's been our best offensive player during qualification.

Kinda funny that two years ago Di Biasi refused to call or start Gashi when he was scoring all those goals in Switzerland. Now he's an undisputed starter despite not playing much in the past year and moving to the MLS. I think Di Biasi feel in love with the idea that Gashi can poach in a goal out of nowhere to make it 1-0 or 1-1...

Lenjani will start in France so GDB is just getting a look at Rashica. This bodes very well for him I think and his chances of going to France.

I think Shala should be dropped for Rashica but apparently De Biasi promised Shala that he would take him to France...

There is no way he's dropping Basha/Kukeli. He has too much respect for them on a personal level.

How do you know Lenjani will be on the bench?

I don't but it seems like Di Biasi views Gashi as a starter and an important player judging from interviews and other news. I think DB thinks Gashi brings balance to the team as he's a winger that can make runs behind the team(and potentially poach a goal) and he tries to put in work defensively. Problem with Gashi is that he runs like Jack Sparrow(Like Ledzep has said lol)

I would be happy with Lenjani and Rashica on the wings as it's a very quick and explosive pairing on the wings. I don't know of Rashica's defensive ability and willingness to track back but I'm sure he'll be going all out if Di Biasi's gives him a chance in a major tournament despite not featuring in any matches this past season. In major tournaments small teams need to have athletic and relentless players that can outwork the bigger teams. That's why I'm okay with the likes of Lenjani, Roshi, Memushaj,Abrashi, etc, starting.

What a job he's done bringing in players alone.

Idk why people here always criticized gashi. He is slow thats very true but the guy is more then a good poacher. He's physically strong, can whip in nice crosses, create play and on top of all that he's a really good finisher. I've seen him play he actaully tracks back to defend too.
