Is Vata good enough to have a spot on the NT? Are guys like Seferi, Hoxha, Asani, Uzuini, Muja better? The fact he's only 19 and a regular in a good enough league should be enough to warrant a call up for Albania.Dallku wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 6:52 pm MEHH...
Cool if he chose Albania.. He has a little bit of talent but it's not like he's some game changing supertalent either. In the past month he has lost his starting spot in a 2nd division mid table club.
I know everyone is making it a big deal because of who his father is but if he was like that Celtic would've kept him and not sell him to Watford for peanuts.
He's closer to Asani than a Gruda

It shouldn't be a hard decision. Offer him a senior NT call up. Offering a u21 call up is an intentional way for him to decline and for FSHF to go to the media that he's not interested. If he doesn't accept then it's on him and has camp and everyone moves on.
Seferi is a fetish player that has nothing to do with the quality of the squad. But Manaj has achieved 10x more in his life than Vata has accomplished. He's played in games with both Inter and Barcelona, even if the latter were friendlies. He's led Turkish goalscoring division with Mauro Icardi and Edin Dzeko.artan wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 4:38 am Every national team makes efforts to cap up talented dual nationality players. You are the king of contrarian takes. Manaj has always been a complete trash player and you know it. He's played a total of 50 minutes for Inter and never played a minute for Barcelona. He's flopped at every single mid to lower table Serie B and La Liga 2 he's been on. He's even been on the seam team Vata currently plays for and was bad that they broke his contract midseason. Manaj is lucky that Mancini was nice enough to give him a few late minute subs for Inter or else he'd be playing in the Turkish second division by now (he'll be playing there next year regardless).Aurora Bulkualis wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 5:23 pmSeferi is a fetish player that has nothing to do with the quality of the squad. For all his shortcomings, he's still way more accomplished than Vata.
Anis should be with the Senior NT and should be in contention for a starting spot. Albania isn't in a position where they can afford to drop out quality players like Mehmeti and Vata and both should be called up. Albania does not have the luxury where they can be selective with talented players.Dallku wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 8:50 pmartan wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 7:08 pm

He seems similar to Anis Mehmeti in position and play style but as Cana said, Mehmeti has way better stats than Vata. So if Mehmeti can't get in the Albanian squad then Vata has even less chances....
Ultimately it's all more or less the same level as the Seferis, Hoxhas, Mujas... It's not worth being disappointed about players like that not choosing Albania.
The irony is that a lot of our attackers moved to the Turkish league and are flopping.artan wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 1:46 amYou are the king of contrarian takes.
