But this is absurd. Those 'old guys' you are talking about are people like De Bruyne and Lukaku, come on, there is no serious comparison there.
Yeah my guy..

LAFC starts Heung-Min Son too who was doing damage in the Prem last year..

He’s not even their best player..

That’s Denis Bouanga who is tearing up MLS.

Dallku out here talking about Como..😂

Como would be parking the bus against LAFC!

Son was clearly on the decline last season. He wasn't the same Son so he opted for a nice pension and a nice life after football. Good for him.

COMO is worth like five times more on transfermarkt than LAFC. Althrought that doesn't mean much it values quality and rendiment of players overall. Nico Paz most likely will leave for Real Madrid next summer.

Serie A with 20 teams is worth like 5-6 billion while MLS with 30 teams is worth 1.3 billion at most.
Best teams in MLS would barely reach 10th place in Serie A.

Yeah and Albania was worth double or triple what Chile was worth..

The game was a no contest!

Chile's value wasn't low because they are shit like MLS teams, it was low because they were an older team so player values were naturally low. But someone like Alexis Sanchez is obviously better than all Albanian attackers combined even on 1 leg.

Even this, I think, is hard, because MLS teams are very tactically disorganised if you ever watch some of those games.

The physical and even technical level might be fine but it is the professionalism and tactical level that is the major difference, sometimes MLS games the players are running around chasing the ball, you won't find this level of indiscipline in Italy or other serious leagues.

How many MLS products went on to have success at Europe or in top clubs? Almost none. How many from Serie A or the rest of Europe? Tons of them.

In MLS, the game is fast so obviously it will look like more mistakes are made.

What players is Italy even producing nowadays?

In their marquee matchup last night, both teams were starting North American products in attack!

“Tactical” is just a code word for slow..

When they say Serie A is more tactical, what they mean is that it’s more slow..

You do realize all these things are measured nowadays right? Your eye test is irrelevant.

https://football-observatory.com/IMG/sites/mr/mr68/en/

https://www.espn.com/soccer/insider/sto ... nd-fastest

Serie A is ahead of MLS in distanced covered and average distance in high intensity so they are not only tactically and technically superior but they also run more.

So where does this myth of MLS being fast come from?? Inter Miami walks on the pitch and blows teams out.

I think you're confusing terrible defending which results to a lot of goals to fast exciting games

I don’t know what these articles from 6 years ago can prove but here is what AI says right now..

Serie A is not considered a faster-paced league than Major League Soccer (MLS); MLS games are often more fast-paced due to a focus on athleticism and high pressure, though the technical quality is lower than in Serie A, which emphasizes tactical intelligence and ball control.

Characteristics of MLS
Pace and Pressure: MLS is known for its high-paced, athletic games, characterized by a lot of pressure and a higher number of mistakes, often attributed to a higher value placed on pace and athleticism over technical skill.

Athleticism over Technical Skill: While the technical level has improved, MLS has players who are more athletic than technically gifted compared to players in top European leagues.

Characteristics of Serie A
Tactical Intelligence: SportsEpreneur notes that Serie A is known for its tactical sophistication and strategic intelligence.

Technical Skill and Creativity: The league is associated with a high level of technical skill and a blend of strategic intelligence with attacking creativity.

Lower Pace, Higher Quality: While not as fast-paced as MLS, Serie A perfects the art of soccer, emphasizing tactical mastery and a higher level of technical ability
