With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

Only reason I wanted to watch was because of Kumbulla... fantastic.
I know his last game he was injured but that was over a month ago. I hope he's not flaking
That's the problem with bigger names/future stars. They have a lot of agent and club influence to skip international games so they can avoid injuries. Remember even Cana used to skip a lot of friendlies.

Yeah, but he hasn't even debuted as a starter yet. Hopefully he doesn't start acting like a diva.

Guys he has a potential huge move coming up , if there’s any risk to injury he shouldn’t play . It’s the nations league , it’s fine.
Yea I wouldn't put to much thought into Kumbulla. He's had a few injuries this year and it's probably best for him to come into next season fully healthy. Hamstring injuries are tough.

Indeed he hasn’t even trained with his club yet so it would be useless . Maybe even counterproductive for his move if he has a bad performance or gets injured more. Probably he hasn’t even recovered yet. Btw quite excited on Çepele’s call. It seemed quite impossible as his agent is Mino Raiola that he would accept to play for us.

Raiola is his agent??? Damn.
Yes , he must have that much potential otherwise why would Raiola agent him. Maybe playing for Albania at such age would help his career and Raiola could place him easier at some clubs from Serie B to low ranking ones in top leagues.... who knows what the strategy is here. Quite sure he wouldn’t get the chance for Italy U21 or the main team in a few years... this might speed the process , make or break a top player
The list states Sadiku as a player for Levante but he is currently a free agent.. albeit he is now rumoured to the Turkish second division where he will compete with Cikalleshi.
It seems pretty clear that they want to cap Cepele (good for us) but I wonder who is advising him on making such a naive choice so early on. If he turns out to be a big star, he will definitely regret jumping so fast to join Albania.

Albania is going to have a world class defence. Nothing naive about it.
