I'm mixed on the subject. I do think the government are a bunch of dumb asses for not taking advantage of Western Europe's addiction to marijuana by not mass producing it and by creating state run weed factories that can give people a good source of income or by regulating locals to be "weed farmers". I don't know much of the subject but it seems like it's giving villagers and regular people a chance of making decent money. If that's the case I'm all about that.

These crackdowns are stupid as they're literally stealing money from regular people just because the kingpins and EU governments are pressuring Rama to stop it. When you're only allowing a select few to grow the weed because they have connections that's how mafia and organized crime starts. If you allow everyone to do it then that doesn't happen. Like Donald Trump would say "How stupid are our officials"

The most infuriating part is that we're surrounded by EU, we can freely travel to EUROPE, yet we can't be in the EU. Then f*** it, let them grow all the weed they want.

Do you have any idea how unbelievably corrupt Albania is? You need the bare basics of democracy to join the EU, and Albania doesn't even have the basics. It's not discrimination. In fact, there was an article from an EU/US delegate who said Albania is the least messed up country in the Western Balkans (which is not true but that's their view).

You have Chiefs of Police who deal drugs and murder people. You have judges taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash under the table. The police has practically become bodyguards for drug dealers. You have guys like Berisha that shoot down protesters in cold blood. You have guys like Rama who shut down elections within his own party, and treats the biggest party in the country like his own private property. Or giving $100 million dollar concessions to companies with $1,000 in assets who were created a month before.

They're not dumbasses. They know exactly what they're doing.

There are very rich people with close connections to the government who finance these drug operations. This has been widely reported, but no one has the balls to name names. (Biggest banker in the country was shot in the middle of the city, let alone journalists...) Unless you think poor villagers are making multi-billion dollar profits...

Meta to be elected president just to avoid going to prison. Lmfao. What a farce that country has become. The dude is forced to take a role that is simply decorative, just to gain immunity.

I wonder if Rama will finally lose the backing that the US always gives to the government. The US (at least Obama's guys) want Meta in prison.

Tirana n'cader, Prishtina n'valle e Shkupi n'gjak.

Shtete mut qe kemi. Edhe Kosova edhe Shqipnia shtete, e Maqedonia luan keshtu me shqiptaret. Turp per keta 'lideret' tane.

I heard rumors of Meta becoming President some 2-3 years ago. Not sure where you got this idea that the U.S. Wants Meta in prison. The U.S. Doesn't give a f*** as long as you do their bidding.

i found out today. not following news at all lately, bored by albanian politics. Albania should be more active as Kosova doesn't that much authority reguarding the demand of Albanian rights in the balkans.

Still speaking Albanian in the middle of their parlament while they sing their hymn is quite a trolling :gezuar:
