It's a bummer since he brings alot of energy and physicality as a sub. Players like that can change the trajectory of games even if they aren't that talented.

Sylvinho doesn't really seem to rate Muçi that much, Hoxha as a newcomer is getting more playing time than him. Both Gjasula and Seferi were logical subs in theory and were brought to put a defensive shift, don't think Muçi or Broja would've helped that much, neither of them wants to press.
Gjasula is never a good defensive sub because he is slow and unable to press and with his lack of possession skills he invites in too much pressure. Seferi is okay defensively but doesn't have pace and that game was open for a counter. Getting some pace in there would have prevented Croatia from camping in our half and give some breathing room for defensive.

When Gjasula goes on Albania is gauratneed to lose the possession battle 70-30% and pretty much have bunker for a tough 25 minutes. It's such an outdated and lazy strategy as it requires so much luck in hoping the endless crosses don't eventually connect. Once Hoxha came on in the 85th with his pace is when Albania showed life. If Albania inserted Hoxha in the 65th minute Albania probably wins.
I rewatched the game and after Croatia brought Pasalic in, our left side with Mitaj started to struggle against him, Seferi was the only right sub there and Albania managed to stabilize the game again through that sub. Things turned to worse once Gjasula was brought in, but if not him who else in midfield? It's clear that most of our players don't have the legs for the full game and Laçi looked out of energy when he got subbed off. Gjasula as a veteran should've brought experience and calmness to our team, lmao. It looked weird to keep Bajrami for the full game, but again what does Muçi offer if you put him on the right side? Players like Muçi and Broja are looking like luxury players refusing/failing to adapt to the NT's needs.
People think Gjausla is some sort of enforcer because he's a giant but he's actually the opposite. Doesn't cover much ground and when he does put in a challenge it's usually a reckless challenge.

Albania is thin in the midfield position and Sylvinho probably messed up by not calling up another midfielder who can come on as a sub and chase the opposition for 15 minutes. Maybe Bare would have been the guy. I would have even put in Abrashi in for Gjasula as I know Abrashi is a pit bull and will run hard for 15 minutes even if he's washed up. Nothing good happens when Gjasula gets subbed on.

As for Seferi his defense is fine but the problem with him has always been his lack of pace. Albania can only score on counters and when Gjasula and Seferi comes on there is no counter attacking threat besides a tired Bajrami. Albania at that point is just trying to bunker for 30 minutes and they invite so much pressure because Croatia knows there is no attacking threat.

In hindsight Abrashi should've been brought in instead of Gjasula because he's at least a ball chaser while Gjasula looked like he was wearing cement boots.

Hysaj and Mitaj do struggle in 2nd halves but why not sub in fullbacks like Balliu to replace them instead of Seferi? Seferi makes the wrong decision 100% of the time while Balliu at least has a brain.

You feel for Muci because he's not an underdog type of player. He's capable of counter attacking but he's actually not direct at all. He likes making the safe pass more than going direct. Ad he gives nothing on defense.

Broja would've been effective against the Croats. I think Sylvinho made the starting striker decisions upside down. Manaj should've started against Italy and Broja against Croatia...

but all this in hindsight after looking at how it played out. Sylvinhos timing of subs is still dogshit though. These players have no stamina to be left that long.

Suspended 2 games?!

Pffffftttt! Are you kidding me?!

You can’t suspend for games of this magnitude! A fine would have been more than enough!

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill!

UEFA took this too far!

Forget Bare!

Albania has Lindon Selahi 1.80m tall midfielder in the shape of his life but they are happy letting him rot!

Bringing on Seferi was OK to a certain extent. Young and energetic player..

Gjasula had no business on the pitch! Too old, too slow and despite being big, he’s actually pretty soft!

Seferi cost us the first goal of the tournament. He was supposed to be marking Bastoni who drifted wide (which Idk why since Bastoni is a CB), and left him completely free for the goal.

These amateur picks by Sylvinho are actually costing us more than we think. Hysaj has had a hand in 3 out of 4 goals, and Gjasula literally sunk it in.

We got fucked by Hungary/Scotland. 10 min extra time, Hungary decides to score 9:30. Bullshit.

We had no chances eitherway to pass with a draw, after our game the Czech and Slovenia/Serbia would've made at least 1 point. we have to go all in for the win.

I'm tryna be positive. Maybe we go all in for a W.

We are no longer clinging to the hope of advancing with 2 points lol.
