As for Kone, I'm with Plako's old theory of him being an Albanian Jew. His dad's name is Isak Kone (Isaac Cohen), there's no way he's not at least partially Jewish. Most Jews are from Vlora though.

He'll never play for the Greeks again ... Comments below the article are hilarious. Kone if he wanted could've walked in easily in our NT years ago and noone is proud of him in Albania so don't see why Greeks have to lynch him .

Balaj is young and should continue being main striker at Rijeka for 1 or 2 more years he'll improve alot, he'll even play Europa League at least maybe the first rounds, better than being at a mid table Bundesliga's team.

Rijeka probably see potential in Balaj and probably think they can demand a greater transfer fee in one years time. That's the good thing about Croatian teams for young players. If you do well you'll make a jump as long as the offer is there. But I don't think Balaj is staying for more than one year. Those Croatian clubs are all about making profits and that's probably whhy they are content with Dinamo dominating the domestic league.

BUT with 3.5 million apparently on the table you have to question why didn't they accept?

Lets not overrate him too much. I knew he would score goals for Rijeka the moment he signed there and that's because he plays for a decent team in a super weak league. I anticipated that he would score a lot of tap-ins(as he has). In Czech republic and Poland he wasn't worth peanuts, never mind millions and in the NT he can't sniff Cikalleshi's place despite the fact that Leshi scores 0 goals. lol

No, I agree with you. I just think with the connections Croatia has in place and how heavily scouted the league is Rijeka has more potential in gaining a larger sum in the future. You have to figure with the amount of goals he had coming in midway in the season they figure he's going to lead the league in goals potentially which may automatically generate a bigger bid. They got 15million for Kramaric and he was just tearing it up for half a season with an insane amount of goals. Who knows maybe he scores a goal against some notable team in the EL and they get all impressed

As for Leshi I think you're a bit harsh on him but to each their own opinion. From what I read he was one of the best players in the league(I know Croatia..)

I actually like him. Definitely a lot more than Balaj. He doesn't have a nose for a goal though.. that's not being harsh. that's reality. He doesn't have the touch of a rapist(like Balaj) so he's better by default.

Balaj is a better goalscorer imo. Too bad that Cika can't score, because Balaj would not be able to threaten his spot at all.

Cika has very nice shooting ability though. Alot of his goals for Split have been nice goals from a decent distance with the occasional PK. Cika to me is a 4-4-2 type of forward that used to be common in the sport and he's best suited for a team that uses long ball passing.

He's been a bit unlucky for the NT when it comes to goals. He's created a ton of chances but just hit the crossbar everytime.

I think the Cro league as a whole is way better than the Alb one, just look at Pero Pejic a nobody in Croatia dominating the Superliga for many years now.
