It could have been better..

It could have been worse..

At least we came in and made a lot of noise!

Broke 3 records including fastest goal in history, sub own goal + goal, and first ever nationalist megaphone chant!

If anything hurts at all, it’s the effort in game 1 in front of 50k! Cost AB his job to Sugar Ray Manaj, but also opened the door for the world to see who Qazim Laci really is!

I used to hype Laci along with Ramadani back in the day when he still played for Ajaccio in 2nd division France! Type of guys who will run through a brick wall for the team! Happy he got to show out on the big stage!

Great learning experience for our boys in front of the bright lights! Will be a real shame if this group doesn’t qualify for a World Cup!

Proud of these boys and proud of our fans!

I wish the FSHF hierarchy, Silvinho and Albanian supports shared his viewpoint. The only former player or someone connected to the NT that actually thinks they should have done better and should played aggressive. Albania came to the tournament happy to be there and not to be embarrassed. They achieved the goal of not being embarrassed so it's a big success for them.

I wish this team had a player with the personality and leadership of Cana. No one on this team is a leader. and they are all too nice/soft. The kind of players to be happy to lose to Italy or Croatia because they are "brothers". The only player I can see becoming a leader is Ramadani, Broja (by being a dickhead) or Daku (by being a goon).

Tbh even Duka seemed a little disappointed. But it's hard to change the mentality of the coach and players from "preventing embarrassment is good enough" to "go for the win".

Albanian experts criticizing Sylvinho all over the internet..

Come on guys! It is his first campaign coaching the team so still learning on the fly. We finished 1st in qualifiers conceding just 4 through 8 with +8 GD.

Sylvinho is a hard worker who has completely turned it around for us. He has taken players Reja was snubbing and turned them into lions!

Easy to talk in hindsight but nobody is perfect! We should be happy to have him as our coach!

I mean he made mistakes, but he's still a an inexperienced coach, IMO if Albania manages to top the NL group and hava a successful WCq campagin, he'll get picked by a bigger NT or club.

That's such a shame. We've made so much progress and it would be unfair for him not to get at least one more campaign.

Which makes me think he wants to leave and he might have been offered a good opportunity.

+1.

People talk about the negative mentality against top teams but Albania always had that, that isn't him. He topped a group with Poland and Czechia which was something unthinkable just a year before.

Then give it to an Albanian coach at least for the Nations league.
