Asani should get his flowers, his performance last qualifiers was no fluke even if it was above his average. Even though he has some weaknesses he's a legitimately great player for Albania and so effective at international level. What helps him a lot is he's so calm and confident, if the ball comes to him in front of goal I always have confidence he will score, he can keep a cool head.Princ wrote: Sat Sep 07, 2024 10:55 pm Amazing performance guys!
Tremendous heart to comeback from down a goal and take 3 points as underdog away from home!
So happy for Ismajli!
He is a lionand that was an injustice done to him at EURO 24!
I have said it for a long time.. Ismajli is our best defender and hopefully people can start to realize that!
Jasir Asani from Sugar Ray Manaj to win the match! Asani looks much better now that he is playing regularly for his club!
Congratulations on our first ever win against Ukraine! We continue our run of success against Slavic opponents!
Sylvinho is the man!
He was also quite precise in his regular actions like passing or movement, his dribbling was also good. He's here to stay.

Tbh, I'm a little disappointed looking at some of these Ukraine players. Ukraine as a team is almost 400m on transfermarkt which puts them even above Serbia/Croatia, but on a second look they have a lot of injuries.
Their striker is a 3 mill guy from Olympiacos, and their left wing is worth 1 mill from Dynamo Kiev (hilarious that Hysaj even struggled a bit with him). These two guys probably wouldn't even start for Albania. Their right wing is worth 30 mill but plays for Girona, so nothing great.
This was a good victory but worth tempering expectations up until Georgia game.

Girona is a great team, Tsygankov was one of the best wingers in La Liga last season whilst they finished in CL spots. Then before that he was Dynamo Kyiv's star player for many seasons, he made a step up now.
We could do with someone like him, of course.

Albania had injuries just as they did!
Take nothing away from our boys!
Fantastic performance!

Great win. We looked completely different than the last time we faced Ukraine. Let's keep the momentum against Georgia, they're a legit team in Europe now.

I think Georgia is the real test now. We have to do a back to back. The good thing is the formation should stay the same and I really liked Ismajli Kumbulla. I just want to see Balliu instead of Hysaj. Khava is a beast.

Even the odds for Albania-Georgia are a 50/50 but that's not a good sign because Albania is home. That shows how strong Georgia is.

I would have expected Albania to be favoured by a slightly bigger margin here..Dallku wrote: Sun Sep 08, 2024 2:40 am Even the odds for Albania-Georgia are a 50/50 but that's not a good sign because Albania is home. That shows how strong Georgia is.

Georgia has improved, but so have we!
Georgia comes in with momentum, but so do we!
Georgia is getting a bit too much respect here!
We got this!
Let’s go Albania!

They have always been.
That being said, they don’t impress me!
Got lucky tonight that penalty opened Czechia up!
Came 2nd last in their group EURO qualifiers!
We just went on the road and smoked Ukraine!
Let’s go Albania!
