With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

Even the odds for Albania-Georgia are a 50/50 but that's not a good sign because Albania is home. That shows how strong Georgia is.
Tbh the odds were heavily against us for this game, so I wouldn't put too much stock in that.
For all intents and purposes Ukraine > Czechs, and that was a home game for Georgia.

What a great team performance, apart from Hysaj everyone else was excellent. Motm, Ismajli or Manaj. Imo, the way Ismajli and Kumbulla performed tonight, I'd like to see them continue as the CB pair.
Manaj had so much energy today, usually when he comes to the NT he barely moves and just stands still asking for the ball, the physical level he showed today was surprising compared with his usual, I hope it continues.
Top, top performance. If he continues playing like this for the NT the goals will soon follow.
Can someone explain so if we finish first in our nations league group does that mean we get a play off spot for the World Cup ? I am confused on the new procedures for it now that the next World Cup is being expanded with more teams.

Yes, is we finish 1st of our group there are like 99% chances we get a playoff spot for WC 2026.

Why didn’t Sylvinho do more substitution. He had 3 remaining. At least use them as time delaying tactics in the dying minutes of the game.
and some players were gassed towards the end and they have to start again in 3 days.
Don't know why Sylvinho struggles so much with substitutions. Maybe he doesn't trust the bench but what's the point of calling up Spahiu and Zeka who you trust even less?

To see if Spahiu and Zeka can be Asani's alternative. Asani will either have an instrumental role in Albania qualifying for the Wc or will get Sylvinho sacked, I'm rooting for the first one.
The midfield was ok but I was a little disappointed. None of them really stood out. Ukraine was dominating possession, which is weird because Sylvinho played with 4 CMs.
This felt more like the Italy game in midfield, than the Croatia game where we actually dominated. We were sitting back too much.
