Albanians abroad

With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

Lol he will get skewered if he did. I read Stankovic praised him after the game.

He's actually not that bad. He's has a little bit of potential. I thought he was 21 but he's only 19.

Definitely an interesting player for Albania u-21.

Yeah, most of his time in Tirana he was 17/18. Red Star honestly wouldn't be a bad choice to move, if it wasn't for politics. Probably should go to Croatia after European season.

Btw, was watching some vids of Broja, and yeah, this dude's touch is golden. A CF that can control long balls/difficult passes like that can open up a whole world of possibilities in terms of chance creation. Whether he actually scores those chances is another issue.

Vrioni on the other hand had the touch of a rapist from the 15 mins I watched of him. Small sample size, but I doubt it's a one off.

He was sold one week ago for 500k to a Swedish team. He made a wrong choice for his career because i think albanians don’t adapt well to nordic championships . Half million is a good cash in for an albanian club as they will make another 10% if the Swedish sell him . It would’ve been better for him to move to Croatia, Netherland, Belgium or even Serie B. Swedish league is less scouted and there are few players who move from there to major leagues.

It's quite a one sided debate right now though and being over excited over a player scoring in a u23 game in Holland who moved from Chelsea( at it worst quality wise in a long time) to a Dutch club proves it. There's nothing special debuting for Chelsea right now. Bersant Celina got all that & at a better Man City team, he impressed in the Dutch league and is now only playing in the Championship.

While Albanian players are moving to quality clubs right now it so happens that all of them are from Kosove.

Rrahmani to Napoli
Vojvoda to Torino
Valon Berisha to Reims
Lirim Kastrati to D. Zagreb

Soon to be confirmed:

V. Muriqi to Lazio
Andi Zeqiri to Marseille

Rashica could still move to Leipzig or Aston Villa in the coming weeks.

You've also got the best players from Superliga e Kosoves moving to decent leagues.

Uzuni's team eliminating Celtic is pretty impressive.

But worked hard and recuperated balls? that's not good.. he's an attacker. :rrokullisem:

Lokomotiva Zagreb got eliminated by Rapid Vienna. Tuci was the only Albanian but was subbed out quickly. I thought that team was full of Albanians? What happened to them?
I won't explain you what winger should do on the pitch to have a good game. Rebrov seems is satisfied with Uzuni contribution and that's only thing what matters for him.

Lol Eto was playing like a fullback during Inter champions league win in 2010.

We already have many hard workers.

We need Ozuni to successfully dribble, get assists and score goals.

Uzuni is actually decent at all that. He's a decent scorer and creates many scoring chances. H'e's also pacey and works hard. That's what we need. I would try him as a forward if Reja still wants to play with two strikers. Uzuni is just sometimes all over the place.

I'm pretty sure Uzuini had the assist on the goal anyway.
