Watching Barca play with Manaj just shows you how easy it is to play as Barca's 9. You have elite players all around you who find you whenever you make a good run. Which is what makes Braithwaite's 2 laliga goals in 1.2k minutes funny.

The sad reality is if you're going to sneak in through the backdoor (Barca B), you have to be 100% perfect. He played well the rest of that 15 mins, but that one goal chance is all you're going to get and he missed it.

Other players like Depay spend years working up to the first team.

Funny thing is that he'd probably make the team if he scored that sitter.

Well he needs a perfect storm at Barca to even be considered as the backup. Absolutely nobody wants to move, Braithwaite/Griezmann/Coutinho are on ridiculous wages, nor does anybody really want to take them and nor do they want to leave. So he needed that, including to grab another goal today. And Koeman may just not like him anyway. But I am glad this little stint has gotten him a big top division move, where he can hopefully play regularly and prove himself.

I gotta say though his overall game seemed pretty decent. Good control, good positioning and passing. I'm not kidding when I say that Manaj was passing better than Busquets at one point. He started a good passing sequence and Busquets fucked it up.

Messi missed something like that in the final against Brazil lol. But Messi doesn't need to be 100% perfect in random friendlies. Manaj did. Ah well.
