Group G: Spain, Italy, Albania, Israel, FYR Macedonia, Liechtenstein

Two teams go through, most likely to be Spain and Italy. Somehow Albania always end up in lower groups alphabetically (G,H,I). Thedraw started of well and it looked to be a perfect draw until we got the best teams from Pot 2 and Pot 1. Its a real shame we get this type of group when we're on such a high.

Gonna be fighting with Israel for 3rd place. The upside is that the away games to Spain and Italy can be coupled with a vacation if we play in the Summer time :)

Am I the only one encouraged by this draw? It's not the big teams that scare me. It's the smaller dodgy ones that we just can't motivate ourselves against. I say you never know. A lot will depend on whether we qualify for Euros. A lot can change in a year or 2

First look at it it seems we are screwed with Italy and Spain, but against Italy I feel we can take it to them, they are overrated. Against Spain, it will be a big challenge but from what we have done so far, we play well against big teams so lets just counter attack and bunker all day there. Israel is a sketchy team because they are very inconsistent, anything can happen there. Fyrom is very weak at the moment and very beatable. Liechtenstein, no comment.

3rd means nothing. Very very hard to see any side getting ahead of Spain and Italy in this group, unless we get a few little Messi's and Ronaldo's come through the youth straight away.

Should be interesting to play against Spain, we haven't played that type of game.

Agreed, especially against Italy we will be highly motivated. I can easily see 20k Albanians in the stadium. Glad Macedonia is in the group as the players will be highly charged for that tie as well. We can snatch a draw from Spain playing Gani Abazi football.

At least it's an entertaining group.

Italy is not that special in qualifiers and their team on paper doesn't scare you but yeah... another death group

Oh believe me I know 3rd place means nothing but we have to think of the seeding for Euro 2020. We could have been in Pot 2 had we beaten Serbia away so every game matter.
