Who can explain me Kurti popularity in Albania? I can't give any logic explanation of his popularity.

I have a very favorable view of him and I guess the reasons are as follows:
1) his now famous defiant interview with the Serbian press during the war in Kosova.
2) his leftist views
3) his nationalist stance. He does not seem to recognize the new Kosovo symbols and is adamant about using Albanian national symbols, most importantly the Albanian flag as opposed to the Kosovo state flag.
4) he is also a very articulate and eloquent speaker in contrast to other Kosova politicians like Thaçi or Haradinaj. I have to admit though that I don't follow Kosovar politics that closely.

I personally have a very favorable view of Kosovar personalities in contrast to RA personalities whether it's in the arts or politics. I find Albanians from Kosova more measured civil and respectful when debating or discussing issues something that I find sorely lacking among the educated class in RA.

Plako, all Balkan politicians are fucking morons and either anti-intellectuals (Berisha) or pseudo-intellectuals (Rama). You know in Kosova's parliament they're throwing around tear gas? How is that civil? I don't expect to see that in Islamabad or Baghdad.

My problem with guys like Kurti and all Bernie Sanders-type politicians is that they're all talk and living in an alternate reality where the elites are always the evil ones and the masses are always the poor innocent people. And when they finally get to power, they don't see the world as black and white any more.

When has a populist, anti-establishment politician ever brought about positive change since the French revolution? Populism is bullshit. It's the nationalism of the left.

I don't think throwing tear gas is a negative given the current political situation in Kosova. I applaud VV for having the balls to take on Thaci & Co. Of course I am extremely biased as I am a nationalist and leftist so my political ideology is along the lines of Kurti and Sanders.

Well nope he's really not. I was talking about myself and I could see how you could construe that I was talking about Bernie being one.

Alright that makes a lot more sense now. Kurti obviously is a nationalist whereas Sanders doesn't have a hint of nationalism to him. At least to me.

Bernie is a leftist Jew from Brooklyn. He's probably one of the least nationalist people out there :)

Which of the parties in RA would you guys say are the most nationalistic? Can you guys rank them from most to least? What about on the individual level(politicians)? Are there any parties or figures in RA that are actively seeking unification and fighting for Albanian rights in Macedonia?

Alot of Albanians from Macedonia and Kosova really liked Sali because they thought he was this patriotic shqipe who was one of "them". People were saying Rama will sell the country and that he's a greek when he was elected. Although, perception on Rama has changed alot and obviously Berisha is someone who would sell half the country if he could.

No politician there gives a shit about nationalism or religion in Albania dude. It's the only good thing about Albanian politicians. They might pander here and there around election time, but politicians in general couldn't give less of a f***. There are some Blushi, Majko types who are more hippie patriotists but not nationalists by any measure.

The only thing that matters to them is getting some tender money to buy a new Merc and fifty thousand dollar watches, while snorting coke and having affairs with hookers.
