So hasenhuttl clearly doesn’t like Broja . Guys only been given cameos and performed every game , he waits for this one game to start criticising him again. Guess it’s easy considering he’s only on loan and better than the crap he chooses to start . Chelsea probably thinking to recall him at this rate.

Thing is, all of his coaches are criticizing him for being lazy off the ball. That was Reja's excuse too... that he doesn't "fight" for the ball.

Aurora Bulkualis wrote: Wed Sep 22, 2021 6:41 am Who has "consistently" been playing wingback for us except Hysaj? Trashi and Doka are shuffled accordingly match to match.

Balliu is clearly better than those two.
In no way is he better than Doka who has not yet lost an official match with Albania, recently stifling Hungary in a start at Elbasan. I would not argue if Hysaj sat next game in favor of him, as he looks to be the next Andi Lila.

Current rotation is Hysaj, Roshi, Doka and Trashi at wingback. Hard to make big changes to the lineup in the middle of qualifiers. Balliu surely does not merit it more than those 4 men, having been absent for 2+ years!
There’s a reason why Trashi and Doka play in Qatar and Croatia. They’re borderline professional players. Doka has a bit more potential than Trashi due to his pace.

As for Roshi he can’t be trusted at wingback against good competition because his defending is atrocious. It works against Andorra because there’s no threat but any team with attacking threat will punish him. Even when he got subbed on against Poland he was caught standing there while they attacked his side.

You can make the argument that Balliu doesn’t deserve to be included with the team because he may have bailed out on us over the years but in terms of quality he’s much better than Doka, Trashi or Roshi.

That's absurd, what do they expect him to do? take the ball from our midfield to theirs and score? He doesn't press a lot but a striker has to stay on the opponent's half of the field coming back to defend only when the opponent is playing corners of free kicks. Both Reja and his coach are defensive minded, that german coach is the same as De Biasi if you watch Southampton play, he's starting the Manaj's and Balaj's of Albania at the Saints in front of Broja. :zgerdhimje:

In modern football everyone has to defend and attack as a unit. When you watch these EPL strikers they press and run like maniacs. Even Lukaku who's worth like 100 million doesn't just stand when he doesn't have the ball, he goes back to go get it and helps start counter attacks, fights for every aerial battle, duel..

Maybe that's what separates these elite strikers from the lower levels but nothing wrong with the coaches wanting him to pick up good habits. They see Broja's talent and potential and don't want him to go to waste.

Albanians have a hard time understanding the concept of “do not fix what is not broken.”

Hysaj sank us at Poland while the “borderline professional” Doka kept the 37 ranked Hungary at bay to secure our most glorious victory in years.

Using this logic:

Hysaj beat Portugal and qualified Albania to the Euros..

Let's not forget that what got Albania over the hump was that victory against Norway away in 2013.. on Hysaj's NT debut. Coincidence?

Examples are from 7 years ago when said player was young and hungry.

Nobody is saying Hysaj is a bad fullback, but Doka has proven to be a better option at the moment.

You say he has 'proven' to be a better option but your argument in favour of him is 'We beat Hungary with him in the team'. That doesn't seem like much proof to me. Perhaps you have some footballing aspects you could point out for which you prefer Doka for, as that would make a lot more sense?
