Imagine having standards like ''Austrian league is too amateur'' when you're Albania and still have scrubs like Seferi and Balaj in your team.

Or he could go to Tirana, like Seferi did, and get called up.Aurora Bulkualis wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 8:30 pm It's not that hard for Vrioni to be called up. Just go to a better league and prove yourself. That's it. Even something like Turkish/Russian league would be better than Austria.

Pretty sure no one here thinks those two should be in the team. One act of stupidity doesnt justify another.MercedesBenz240 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 12:09 am Imagine having standards like ''Austrian league is too amateur'' when you're Albania and still have scrubs like Seferi and Balaj in your team.

And we gonna pretend like we have a huge number of forwards to choose from and we going to rule this guy out because he plays in the Austrian league instead of the inferior Russian and Croatian league?Aurora Bulkualis wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 4:00 am Pretty sure no one here thinks those two should be in the team. Vrioni deff deserves a chance. Manaj, Balaj, Seferi have all proved to be trash. I think he’s better than them and could be a good alternative to Broja when we hopefully switch to 1 forward up top.MercedesBenz240 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 1:46 pmAnd we gonna pretend like we have a huge number of forwards to choose from and we going to rule this guy out because he plays in the Austrian league instead of the inferior Russian and Croatian league?Aurora Bulkualis wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 4:00 am Pretty sure no one here thinks those two should be in the team. I've been a Vrioni hater and but it's no denying he deserves a chance. Cikaleshi was scoring a handful of goals in the Turkish second division and was an undisputed starter for years. The sad thing is Cikaleshi wouldn't be able to score this many goals in Austria even if it's a "farmer league". Same with Balaj.
He deserves a look and he's been improving. He showed some glimpses of being more than a goal poacher in those highlights.
I would think Vrioni, Sahiti and Selahi deserve a look next set of matches.

Actually agree and wouldn't be surprised if he gets a Serie A move next season.
But what Albania needs desperately is offensive players who actually score and do good in the top leagues. That's why Bajrami is such a disappointment so far.
Anyone can play against Andorra and San Marino but not everyone can play against England, Poland, and even Hungary. You think Broja scoring on Hungary twice was a coincidence?? No it was because he has proved he can compete at EPL level. If he can do that then he obviously can score on Hungary. Would've probably score on Poland too if he got more chances.
Players who do good in top leagues is what guarantees you things.

Broja is also a cocky asshole (in a good way). Ironically, this may be a detriment to his club play but for Albania it's exactly what we need. We normally have these fake cocky players like Balaj who act confident but shrivel up against good competition .Dallku wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 3:50 pmartan wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 3:18 pm I've been a Vrioni hater and but it's no denying he deserves a chance. I think playing in a top league also gives a sense of professionalism too. Our guys panic so bad against good teams in possession and can't do the simple things right. That is nerves and inferiority coming in to play. Even a guy like Agolli who was captain and some deeming offensive qualities (crossing) always panicked against good teams like he was afraid of his own shadow. I think Roshi is the only one of these guys who played in inferior leagues to not actually be scared. You never saw that with our guys who played in competitive leagues like Bare, Mavraj, Xhaka, etc.

If Broja weren't cocky he would have passed to Uzuni in that Hungary at home match and Uzuni would have missed 100%.
Imagine a guy like Broja who played for Chelsea and now Southampton and comes into FSHF camp and sees how unprofessional everything probably is and thinks to himself "WTF am I doing here?"

To get a hat-trick and an assist in one game you need to be a somewhat profilic striker. I mean Balaj managed the same in a whole season in Austria. Vrioni now with 8 goals and an assist in 10 games, half of which he didn't even start due to injury (700 minutes). That's remarkable numbers.
They are not all tapins either, some nice goals, and the 2nd goal he scored in the game was beautiful. He dribbled their entire defense on his own.
He looks like a possible diamond in the rough to me. Tall, fast, has a good aerial and scores a lot of headers and deceptive skills as well. At worst he is better than Balaj and Seferi.
