Thought he was doing well marking Kane at Wembley but he got injured so soon after the start.
Did not get injured..
Albania gave up a goal few minutes in and decided to quit with a bruise on his leg. Missed no time with Roma upon return.

Kumbulla’s predecessor, the legendary Mergim Mavraj, playing with possible concussion after his head is split open during play.
Marash has a long way to go before he can even dream of catching a man like Mergim!

There is no doubt Kumbulla was emotionally overwhelmed in Wembley. Let's keep in mind that he's only 21 though and for CBs experience is crucial. For his age he's still very advanced.
Mavraj showed the value of top 4 league defenders. Before Mavraj we had amateurs like Curri, Admir Teli, Beqiri, etc.. Mavraj added much needed professionalism in the team but lets keep in mind that Mavraj came to Albania in his prime. At Kumbulla's age he was playing amateur football.

Playing with some injuries are a sign of fortitude. Playing with a concussion just shows you never had very many brains to begin with. Stupid thing to do.

Another good game for Kumbulla, Mou right to trust the guy. Not many can deal with Lewandowski the way he did.
The funny thing is that Kumbulla is the typical Mou defender. Good marker, plays a physical game. The problem is that Mou came in with a pre-conceived notion and it took time to get over it.
Honestly he was probably just testing his character to see if he's a cry baby or a primadonna. Marash proved otherwise by staying humble and working hard.
He seems to a quiet guy too and doesn't fit the mold of a typical Mou defender personality wise. Mou wants his payers to be cunts. .

Mavraj in that Euro 2016 qualifiers was probably our best defender in our history. Not only was a rock but at times he was our most technical players and the Albanian Bonucci. He carried us over Armenia with one leg after the death of his father. I always thought the media and fans did him dirty by attacking his religious identity.

The willingness to always say what he believed to be true, regardless of criticism by fans and media, is what made Mavraj a legend off the field.
Big player, even bigger man!

Broja with an offside goal against Man City. Such a shame. It was a really good goal too.

Broja is just an elite player. Everyone can see it, so lucky to have him
