Imo Albania's only chance is if Bunjaku decides to recruit Serb players. Albanians from Kosove will naturally choose Kosove before the ANT. It's only natural.

I'm not so sure. I think they'll choose what ever NT is best for them and their careers. First off, they'll want to play for the NT that can give them matches. Second, the success of each NT will factor somewhat in their decisions. Lets say if one side somehow qualifies for the World Cup(Unlikely) or the next Euro Cup while the other side finishes second or third last they're gonna pick the better side. It's all about that.. Who ever can recruit and snatch up players earlier has the advantage.

Also, don't forget the so called "exodus" to the Kosova NT were players who were backups on the Albanian NT. Bernard Berisha and Rashica switched because Albania wasn't offering them a starting role or even a roster spot, so they naturally switched. If Di Biasi brought any of them to the Euros they'd still be with us. Ironically, some of them like Shala and Meha are still backups and I think Di Biasi would have given Shala a chance to prove himself if he stayed.

Reading in this forum makes you think Kosova is EURO semifinal material while Albania are scrubs who fight for survival. Reality check: Albania are one of the best teams in europe, Kosova are a team of scrubs and rejects.

Does Kosova have players that could play for Albania? Sure. But hearing some people talk about it, it seems like if these players dont play it's a vacant spot in the roster lol.

And capping 16 year olds just to take them off Albania is a lowlife scum action.

Not at all. It just shows how much of a difference 100 years of being forced to live separated, have made. It's just how it is. An Albo from Ks will rather hang with another Albo from say Ks than one from RA.

A footballer career is very short for everyone and each of them to think about patriotism soo most of these footballers are mercenaries. Abrashi's interviews on how he felt more Swiss before he decided for Albania, come to mind.

While Rashica and Shala switched just out of spite, because they were dropped from the Euro squad. We'll never know what might have happened if the others that decided to stay with the ANT would have done, if they didn't sacrifice the chance of switching by getting a taste of the Euro tournament.

You got players like V. Berisha, B. Celina, S. Bytyci and A. Zeneli that never seemed to consider ANT decide to play for Kosove.

Then you got the Swiss guys that acted patriotic until the last day knowing very well that they couldn't switch anymore once they played at the Euros.

Then you got A. Januzaj.
