Well, it is conditioned by your role in the team also. I think strikers and attackers will naturally be worse here as they don't cover that much ground. Vs a mid like Bajrami who should do a lot better.

We also have 'Pressures' which is an accurate reflection of how often a player presses. A player might not cover that much ground in general as they don't move from their spot but do a lot of high intensity, low distance pressing so this stat can be biased against them. Manaj averages about 20 pressures a game or 87 percentile so he isn't bad in this regard.

Dude, that top 150 is full of attackers and strikers. Immobile is ranked 15th ffs. Manaj being ranked so low(especially with the heavy minutes played & Spezia being huge underdogs) is absolutely pathetic.

In modern football attackers/strikers have to run a lot on both offense and defense.

Eye test tells the story but it's good to see the stats confirm that bullshit narrative. One of Manaj's biggest flaws as a player is that he's lazy. Even Broja works harder.
This is exactly why their attackers will have low distance covered.

Teams that sit back won't have large distances covered obviously because they sit in a block.

He's not the hardest working player at all but he improved in that aspect and has great stats in pressures and recoveries like mentioned above which can add more context.

Manaj is a lazy player, as shown by the fact he's been fat most his career and he never reached his potential despite having multiple chances.

He doesn't score, he's not particularly good on the ball, he's not physically imposing. He is a bad player.

Nice, brings him to an average of 1 goal every 5 games and 2 behind Bajrami

Good adjustment by Motta to bench him and bring him on late.

For the first time in months Spezia dominated and won a game comfortably.

In the last games they played Roma, Juve and Fiorentina. Won't dominate with any of those.

That's 3 in the last 5 for Manaj. Not an amateur. It will be a successful season if he could get a few more goals.

In other news Uzuni missed another sitter for Granada. Sad that his finishing is so poor, he would have 5 or 6 goals by now. Genuinely could be a top player with good finishing but it's such a huge flaw.
