Hindsight will be useful here. Let's see how Italy performs against Switzerland, and how Spain does in the tournament.

If they both do well, maybe we're stronger than we think.

Yes Spain looks good and is a true contender. But you played their B team. Can't get a bigger break than that.

Croatia is on a complete downfall now that their golden generation (Modric, Brozo, Perisic) is old and washed up. This is a reality check for them on what the future will look like. They will be like other Balkan nations like Serbia. Qualifying occasionally but not doing anything in the tournaments. They have no attacking potential at all. I don't see how they are better than a country like Turkey right now.

This is one of the worst Italian generations ever. They have no attacking threat besides a fresh off ACL surgery Chiesa who had an inconsistent season. Scamacca is their #9 !! A west ham flop..

Watch the Swiss eliminate the Italians.
This. Not only is this Croatia's weakest team in 10 years they also inserted some awful lineup choices against Albania by playing Majer and Kramaric as wingers with a slow midfield of Kovacic, Brozovic and Modric. They were so slow they made Albania look like a fast team despite having a defensive midfield trio and Asani/Manaj starting. That Croatia team isn't any better than a team like Slovakia, Ukraine or Czech.

And this is probably one of the weakest italian teams ever, the 2016 team was weak but that team was coached by Conte who made them super competitive.
Lol, didn't Croatia beat and dominate Portugal a couple of weeks ago in a friendly? I think you're underrating them. They created more chances than Albania and Italy combined against Spain. Georgia, Slovenia and Hungary aren't stronger than Albania, they just got lucky groups.

If we had the group of Georgia we would have taken at least 4 points perhaps 5 i mark my words. Georgia is pretty much lucky to be there by finishing at the 4th position in the group qualifying stage and without Nations League they would be nowhere today... Their biggest success in this group is 2 wins over Cyrpus lol

On Play-off stage they almost failed against Greece they managed to win over Luxembourg and Greece on penalties because also both of their games were played in their soil and here they got lucky to play Portugal B team on the last game.. *

Georgia might become the "new" Iceland in 2 or 3 years. They will be forgotten and stick to their natural position

Kvaratskhelia was a Georgian league player too before..

Congratulations to Georgia but they had an easier group here.

In qualifiers, they finished 4th with just 8 points through 8 matches -6 GD.

No Albanian NT player is at his level though.

The expectations are so low for Albania that having competitive losses to decent teams are considered a plus. Only Albania would defend a 0-1 deficit in a tournament and only Albania would treat getting a draw against a poor Croatian side (despite needing a win to advance) as a huge achievement. No one even criticizes Sylvinho for putting in Gjasula (who has been awful for the NT since 2020) as a sub against Croatia. No one ever criticizes the managers for always playing amateurs wether it's Manaj, Cikaleshi, Balaj, Trashi, Seferi, etc.

And don't get me started on that 2020 Nations League. We're the only NT with our size that would consider that 2020 Nations League group "championship" over Belarus a big achievement. Most national teams would be embarrassed that they lost to lithuania, drew Kazakhstan/Lithuania and barely beat Belarus in the final. But not Albania.

Albania also needs a key player to be the "alpha".

Ran over Portugal in the biggest game of their lives!

Georges Mikautadze leads EURO in scoring with 3 goals!

Georgia gains a lot of experience here and will be tough to beat going forward!

Identical situation as Albania against Spain's B team btw. Must win game and Georgia smacked Portugal. This is their first ever tournament and already made the knockout stages.

No inferiority complexes, no being happy by losing only by 1.... Just pace, dribbling and relentless attacks. Respect to Georgia!
