Mitrovic is one of, if not the best..

Vlahovic is top 10, arguably even top 5.

Topped group with Portugal in World Cup qualifiers

Serbia is considered a dark horse every time they qualify. But in the actual tournaments they shit the bed. If they couldn't do anything with prime Vidic, Ivanovic, Kolarov, etc.

They are the opposite of Croatia who also have the talent but they show it in tournaments. Serbia is a qualifying team. Croatia is a tournament team.

Serbia has not had such attacking talent in our life time.

There is something to be said about having the best goal-scorers in the world..

If you think that Mitrovic is better striker than Mijatovic was on his prime than you are clearly deluded. Mitrovic record with Serbia is impressive but nowadays you play more matches with national team and against low level opponents. Dallku is right that Serbia always was considered as dark horses but somehow they find a way to get humiliated on major tournaments.

You fall victim to your own nostalgia..

Player 1 - 75 caps, 50 goals, 5 assists
Player 2 - 64 caps Yugoslavia, 23 goals, 5 assists, 7 caps Serbia, 2 goals, 0 assists (total 71 caps, 25 goals, 5 assists)

Where in Serbian football history can you find a 1.89m athletic beast like Aleksandar Mitrovic?

Too big, too strong, too smart, yet super graceful in his movement on the pitch. The scoring record is no surprise, as few defenders in the world can contain such a physical specimen.

Players like Mitrovic do not come around often in Balkans. Scored on the best countries in the world, most recently with a hat trick against Sweden, and another one next match middle of Oslo.

Come World Cup 2022 and barring injury, this Serbia will sneak up on you!

Both are past their prime but Portugal and Argentina both have strong squads capable of making the final.

Bro you need to lay off this Mitrovic worship. You're all over the "Albanians Abroad" thread talking about Mitrovic and now all you're talking about in this thread is Mitrovic. We get it you love the guy but let it go.

The thread is titled “World Cup Qatar 2022,” where presumably, we would have a right to discuss about the teams and individual players taking part in said competition.

Stop getting all emotional about it, football is not politics. I doubt you would mind if I was bringing up Ronaldo and Messi on here..
