Scoring against Juventus is the highlight of Uzuni’s career. It is quite an accomplishment, but there is no further proof that he can produce consistently at a high level. He should prove himself in a more competitive league before we jump to conclusions.

Personally, I do not see anything that jumps off the page when I look at his skill set. Not the fastest, not the smartest, and not a physical specimen either.
Most of the "rest of Europe" leagues are Albanian Superliga quality outside the top 2-3 teams in each country. However, the top teams in these leagues tend to compete in the CL often and have produced many good players. I wouldn't take Uzuini seriously if he played for a random hungarian team like Disogyori (ie Roshi) but since he's playing for the top team that is a CL caliber team it shows he's a legit player.

I also think the Hungarian league will start to become a regional power and will start to swoop Albanian domestic players up.
I'd say this is our downfall more than anything. Not the quality of the rest of the league, but that we have no "super team". Good for casuals to watch, but bad for the national team.

Duka made alliances with political actors and went constantly after all the big clubs only to keep his power. It's impossible to find any country in world where all their major teams were relegated in last 20 years, it wasn't accident or due to sports merit. Duka knew if the likes of Tirana,Partizani,Vllaznia,Flamurtari would establish sportive hegemony they could remove him easily from power so that's why he destroyed Dinamo to create Skenderbet or created new "realities" as Kukesi,Laçi. I don't have anything against any of those cities but their "success" is not only based in sport merits and their development potential is ridiculous compare to capital teams.

As Zen says only 'pilaf experts' would discount Uzuni's record in the NB. It's like 12 goals and 6 assists now with another 3 goals in CL stages. He is legit and I won't be surprised if he makes a straight move to Seria A let alone Olympiakos.

There has been countless proof that goals in weaker leagues can be deceiving. Especially if you play for the best team and score against a bunch of amateurs while your team is attacking the whole time.

Manaj has great stats too but most of his goals are penalties and we all know his level. If you look at Uzuni's goals most of them are open net tap-ins. In Italy nobody is giving him goals like that.

I remember Edmond Kapllani used to be a goal scoring machine in the 2. Bundesliga but in the first division he couldn't cope at all.

Kapllani:

73 goals in 214 appearances in the 2nd division. (180 minutes per goal). Even led the scoring tables a few times I believe.

In Bundesliga?

3 goals in 54 appearances. (nearly 700 minutes per goal) And that's Bundesliga which is a very open/attacking league.

There are levels to this. There is a huge gap between the top leagues and everything else. Scoring against amateurs guarantees absolutely nothing.

Uzuni has earned his place on the "best team" and his competitors are all international players Nguen, Zubkov and Robert Mak who at his prime at Paok was one of best players of greek league.Without any doubt he was their best player this season so give him credit for his achievement. I agree stats can be deceiving but for Enis Bardhi good stats at Ujpest were enough to secure the move on La Liga. If you really think NB teams are bunch of amateurs better ask Liridon Latifi.

Massive result tonight for Spezia against Inter but Ismajli made two stupid mistakes.

Djimsiti kept a clean sheet against Juventus in a crucial match, and Ismajli tied against Inter.

If we had Kumbulla I truly believe we had a 1 in 3 chance for a 0-0 draw against England (or maybe 1-1 with a Cikalleshi v. France type of penalty).

I was just going to post this. He makes so many stupid mistakes with the ball on his feet. If he keeps that up he will be benched for good. Defensively, the potential is there because he's so aggressive and his tackling is solid.

He's performed against elite clubs as we like to keep mentioning. I think he has the style to make a move to a big league and fit in, when played in the CL I didn't get the impressions ever that he didnt belong or wasn't good enough

He has way better stats than Bardhi did at this point and Bardhi is free-kick specialist

I was wondering how come Teuta is first this season and then I realized Duka's brother is second in the PD list in Durres. This mofo has been pulling shit like this for 2 decades now.
