With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!

How can it be equivalent of doing the eagle? Turks killed millions of Armenians and Christians during first WW.
So?
Demiral has every right to be proud of his identity as a Turk!
It was not a political symbol he made, but a Turkish nationalist symbol!
Just as the eagle is an Albanian nationalist symbol..

Imagine if a political organization started doing the Albanian eagle..
Would that mean an Albanian player deserves a suspension for doing it too?
Yes, if an Albanian organization would start killing innocent ppl of other ethnicities in the name of nationalism and would have the eagle hand gesture as their symbol, then normal Albanians wouldn't want to associate with it and it would become problematic. That won't happen though as the eagle hand gesture has no historical meaning and is associated to the albanian flag. The wolf salute should be compared to the serb three fingers and nazi salutes. They all have hateful meanings in them.
Interesting interview from Sulejman Starova. He said youth football training is pretty much nonexistent in Albania. All those youth "academies" are a farce according to him.
