Is it f***.

NOBODY should be in charge of lineups except the coach. Not FSHF, Not Duka, not Broja.
Unless you're Messi or Ronaldo you cant be making demands as to who you want playing
The coach's autonomy over the team must be sacred. When there's a precedent of FA or external factors intervening with the coach's selection you get to where we are now, where Superliga players are starting because Duka is helping Tirana sell someone.

We trash Reja for many team selections but certainly some of them have been enforced on him like Seferi. It was telling how the game after starting he didn't even play a minute with 5 subs when we needed a goal.

I wonder if the Veseli inclusion had some "influence" too. As out of form as Kumbulla might be, Albania doesn't have the luxury of benching him for Veseli, especially when it destabilizes the whole defense because you then play Djimsiti in the center(when he prefers LCB). That was an odd decision just as much as Seferi.

What difference would it have made?

Reja fielded all the guys you wanted, and they sucked! A bunch of Israeli leaguers came in and mopped the floor with them..

AB is king!

Seferi proved better than all of Bajrami, Uzuni, and whoever else not named Broja..

I could make a disaster class video from Seferi's touches. People being too harsh on Bajrami.

The lineup last time we beat Iceland 4-2

The lineup when we beat Israel 1-0 under Panucci

Interesting. We beat both of these teams with far worse lineups on paper. Especially Israel, we literally played Gavazaj and Sindrit Guri up front LOL. But now we're not good enough apparently.

I liked Binaku, wonder why he stopped getting called up. Anyway Reja is just a guy coming up with excuses, he blames players, he doesn't care.

We've fully wasted this pre qualification period to try and solidify our team. Calling up guys like Roshi and Balaj who wont be around in 2024 is useless.

You might as well experiment and try to call up as many guys as possible and see who sticks. Try Rexhbecaj, Shabani , Ferati, Toma, Kemal Ademi, Dajaku, Fisnik Asllani, Tim Civeja or whoever you can find with an Albanian surname who might be decent. Most are more than likely not good enough, but at least try instead of sticking with proven bums.
