The new format is really confusing but it's all changed with the conference league. The size of EL is now 32 and the new format fucks over the smaller nations. The EL now is pretty much the leftovers of the CL and teams that get eliminated from CL qualifying will be placed in EL qualification/playoff rounds. They weeded out the smaller clubs by creating a new competition for them. They pretty much want to monetize the EL as much as possible.

Probably Shkendija with the best chances this year. Old Skenderbeu would always be able to qualify for this, shame

Teuta has a golden chance too, if they can get past Sheriff. They will face the winner of Connah's Quay Nomads v Alashkert and if they make it to the 3rd round, they're guaranteed of at least Conference group stage.

Highly doubt it. Sheriff is the "Skenderbeu of Moldova".

Teuta is the Sheriff of Durres.

They lost their 2 opening matches of the season and one of them against a newly promoted side. Doesn't look like they're on their best days for sure.

Sheriff has the slight nod because they have more European experience but they are definitely a beatable opponent.

We say that every year and yet our teams continue to disappoint year after year.
