Albania couldn't string 3 passes in that game and the anchor -- player who sits in front of the backline and is supposed to calm the team down and be smart is mostly responsible for that. The standards for Ramadani are so low that he probably completed a 5 yard pass and people were impressed.

What made De Biasi's team was the anchor and that was Kukeli. That composure, safe passing and intelligence in front of the back 4 was crucial. Gjasula was decent at it for a while but he regressed as expected.
This. I guess Ramadani looked okay and better than expected but generally he’s been pretty bad with the NT. These lower tier guys aren’t consistent and you need players who you know can compete. It’s why Abrashi has been so good, not because he’s dominant but he never flops and always plays hard. You can count on a guy like Abrashi. The fact that Ramadani plays for a relegation bound Hungarian team makes me suspect that Poland match was a fluke.

This is always the case with these amateur players. Cikaleshi, Trashi, manaj, etc can look decent against Belarus but you know they’re going to flop against decent competition. And if they do manage to do something like Cikaleshi against Poland you know it’s a fluke goal.

At the end of the day consistency matters and you need professional players to compete.

I remember people shitting on Kukeli. Yeah he made the occasional mistake but he was a rock compared to these buffoons we have now.

Amateurs like Cikalleshi who have carried the team on their back for years.

Super professionals like Bare and Hysaj who cost us a qualification.

If you think Hysaj cost us qualification you're mental. If your solution is to then play Doka then you're even more mental.

3:02 - Midget with wig Bare bullied into losing the ball in our half, sends Poland in on dangerous attack (3 on 2)

4:05 - Midget with wig Bare dribbling backwards, gets bullied into losing the ball near our box to send Poland in on dangerous attack (3 on 2)

5:06 - Super professional Hysaj hands Poland Albanian dreams of qualification. Gets bullied into losing the ball in final third to send visitors in on dangerous attack. Fails to mark far post and Karol Swiderski makes him pay.

And how did that cost us qualification? We didn't even score , we needed a win, and sat back for 90mins. Lay off this agenda, you look stupid.

The win against us secured qualification for them and so they rested their players vs Hungary. The only person crying about this is you. Obsessed with Doka , you're on your knees for him.

Did not matter as bet365 still valued home team at ~61% to win, with the visitor at ~14%, and a draw at ~25%.

To put things into perspective, these pre-match odds are almost identical to when Albania visited Warsaw (~62%, ~24%, ~15%).

A big upset occurred! The heavy favorite lost at home, keep crying..

Opening odds via 1xBet for match v. Russia..

1 ~27%
X ~30%
2 ~44%

Positive result for Albania less than 3 of 5 times (~56%). Tough matchup but anything is possible with real difference makers like Hysaj and Bare on the pitch!
