I’m not gonna lie I’m pretty frustrated as this was the weakest Italian side ever. They needed help from the referee to qualify in their group vs Ukraine. We really should’ve gotten a draw here. Now we got an impossible task vs Croatia and Spain. Had we got draw here there would have been some hope that we would get a result vs Croatia.

Also we should’ve got a corner on Manaj’s shot.

Hopefully Sylvinho doesn't see Asani & Seferi as guaranteed starters, they got their chance and were below average

I think starting Daku to match their height and then letting Broja run wild in the second half against tired legs should've been the move and he absolutely needs Bajrami, Muci and other fast and technical players such as Hoxha to feed him on quick counters that's the only way I can see how we would draw/win against this Italian team. Put Broja in Manaj's spot in the 90th minute and that would've been an equalizing goal.

The run and touch is outstanding, it wasn't an easy chance at all, in fact it wasn't really much of a chance except by his own work.

Can't blame Manaj on that. He did everything almost perfectly.

I feel like starting Asani is a tax we have to pay for all the work he did during the qualifiers. Hopefully it was a one off thing.

If you want to see how cowardly Albania played just look at the yellow cards.

Only 2 yellows and those came from off the ball incidents from Broja and Hoxha. 0 yellow cards on the ball.... on a team that had almost 80% possession. They refused to go close to them and disrupt their rhythm. No tackles or nothing.

The inferiority complex was something else.

That's true, but it's a really tough match for Albania mentally... Bajrami's goal was the 2nd ever goal in a major tournament after Sadiku's. And it's the first ever against a "big team". We almost never play in these big tourneys, and the first game we have is the defending champs. It's just a lot of pressure. Remember against Switzerland last time, we conceded a goal right away and Cana got a red 30 mins in. Even against France, we had the benefit of actually beating them and tying them in our qualifying group to give us a bit of a mental boost back then. In these big tourneys experience matters when it comes to mentality.

This time it was us who pulled the quick trigger (or rather Bajrami). Bajrami like I said can play at a near world class level or a complete amateur, and thankfully this was one of those times where he showed up big. All I hope is that they just have a little bit more confidence for the next games.

What a goal by Bajrami! One of our biggest goals in history! Big game player and bonafide legend for our NT!

Over 50k Albanians in attendance, you can’t come out playing like a momma boy! AB needs to get moving! Bad body language all night! Conditioning just ain’t there yet. Drew a couple of fouls and understandably tough to link up with Seferi and Asani..

Super professional Hysaj out there playing dodgeball! Who needs to get in the way of a shot when you have already made billions of dollars in your career? Balliu is a no brainer over him..

Ajeti is not the same player as he was in 2016. Easy to say in hindsight but Ismajli should have started ahead of him.

Seferi and Asani were out of their depths against an opponent of this calibre. A player like Muci should play a bigger role for us going forward!

Donnarumma the real deal at the end there to rob Manaj of the biggest goal of his life!

Chin up and onto the next!

That was painful to watch, Bastoni such a young player had no problem blocking later Asllani's free kick with his head.
