Remove Broja and Asani from the lineup.
Their performance was pathetic and both of them could barely run. It's ok to have off days sometimes but it's not ok to be fucking lazy especially when you're playing against a top team and you need to give 100% physical effort to be able to disrupt them. We can't have the risk of them putting in another such performance if we want to try and pick up any points, especially in this most winnable game. We need players who are focused and in good physical condition, that is how we were successful defending wise in the group stages, focus, running and physicality, even Cika gave far better performances than Broja did, at least he was willing to run more.
Though, it is hardly surprising when you consider Broja has barely played for 2 years, was it our mistake thinking he would be in shape? He might just be totally out of fitness and not ready to start matches. In any case, with his speed and athleticism, he has always been more effective off the bench,
Put Daku or Manaj in for Broja and Muci in for Asani. What we know about Daku is even if technically limited he is very active and physical and difficult to deal with. For Manaj he has the problem of being lazy cunt as well but in his sub appearance he looked quite sharp so maybe he woke up on the right side of the bed for this Euros.
Muci can sort of do the same role Asani did in quals except he is in far better shape.
We need pressing and intensity to be able to challenge these teams, if you sit off and let them pass the ball around your box for 90 minutes they will easily slice your defense in half. That's what happened in that game, even though Italy were very poor, they still managed to easily open us up, it was like a training match, they freely approached our box every time they got the ball. They should have to really fight to be able to get into the box, not for free.

Albania doesnt have the luxury to bench Broja because he at least carries the ball, wins fouls/free kicks(most realistic way to score).
Broja struggles pressing and the physical side of the game just like most players on this team. Seferi, Ramadani, and Laci are the only ones who know how to press and fight but it doesn't matter because they are so limited technically that they give the ball right back as soon as they steal it or just make the wrong decision.
Broja doesn't press or fight
Bajrami doesn't press or fight (he's even worse than Broja btw)
Asani too weak and malnourished to press or fight
Asllani doesn't press or fight. The defensive side is his weakness and he's supposed to be a dm.
Muci is Bajrami 2.0.. Doesn't press or fight
Manaj and Daku are lazy just like Broja with even less talent
The fullbacks are all finesse type of players. They don't have fight in them.
For an underdog team that's going up against these great possession teams, it's just a bad matchup because you don't have the players to bother them.

Yes to Hysaj. No to Broja. Italy literally got 2 yellow cards trying to bring him down. If you want striker productivity you need to give them service.

Panorama Sport projected lineup..
Hoxha-AB-Asani
Ramadani-Bajrami-Asllani
Mitaj-Djimsiti-Ajeti-Hysaj
———Strakosha
Important thing is we show up with passion and a sense of responsibility towards the supporters. Reports estimate 30k Albanians will be in attendance here!
Let’s go Albania! Leave it all on the pitch this time!

Top Channel (they said they had people at the camp watching training) went a step further saying Hoxha for Seferi, Balliu for Hysaj, and even Ismajli for Ajeti.
To be honest, I think Ajeti and Djimsiti were both pretty decent. None of the 2 goals had anything to do with them. Ajeti made some crucial interceptions.

Supersport just released that same one too.
Hysaj out, automatic win. Ismaili was part of our shutdown D during qualifiers. Ajeti washed up, won 1 of 5 aerial duels last game, looked disoriented defending crosses into the zone. Excited to see what Hoxha can offer ahead of Seferi!

Muci in for Asani and that would be the best team at the moment. Asani is useless against top teams, moreover he is out of form. Big hopes for Broja today, he needs to deliver a goal today.Princ wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 9:53 amI like that better..Aurora Bulkualis wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 4:22 am Top Channel (they said they had people at the camp watching training) went a step further saying Hoxha for Seferi, Balliu for Hysaj, and even Ismajli for Ajeti.
