Conceding 4 to Poland was passed off as just a freak unlucky game but it doesn't seem so. We have serious tactical problems, our players were like headless chickens 1st half, pressing a team who are 1000x better than us as if they won't just cut through our press

Even worse than how he usually plays. We miss Gjim so bad man.Aurora Bulkualis wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 10:31 pm Btw, how did Veseli play? I thought he was decent vs. Poland.

Remember that Czech Republic friendly. That was a strong indication too. These are no flukes. This team is horrendous at marking and on the ball.RedFootballs wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 10:35 pm Conceding 4 to Poland was passed off as just a freak unlucky game but it doesn't seem so. Yep. Made a thread about this a while backRedFootballs wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 10:35 pm Conceding 4 to Poland was passed off as just a freak unlucky game but it doesn't seem so. And it's weird because even though we beat Hungary twice, and they are around our level, they tied England 1-1, and got points against Poland. Well it's not weird... Reja just sucks as a coach.Aurora Bulkualis wrote: ↑Tue Sep 07, 2021 6:35 am It's a bit interesting that against teams ~ our level and below, we have not conceded any goals, but teams that are superior we are getting destroyed.
San Marino, Andorra, Wales, Hungary = 0 goals
England, Poland, Czech Republic = 10 goals
Of course the distinction between "top" teams and teams our level/lower is hazy, but point still stands. It seems once teams reach a certain level (Czech Republic or above), we get destroyed.
With De Biasi our defence worked ALL the time. I think this is a systemic failure.

This could have easily been the worst game in Albania's history if England wanted to. We were 5-0 at HT with the Golden Magyars when they beat us 12-0.

Reja will say we played great in the second half and the ref was to blame. His teams are legit like serie B teams fighting for relegation. Giving up before the game even starts and playing for draws against Poland lmao. Put one of us in this forum as coach we would do better tactically.

We beat Hungary because they are like a 2016 Albania. All they know is how to defend, they usually can't attack, so it was perfect stylistic matchup for us if we got a goal. But the fact they are defensively well drilled and organised enable them to get results against bigger teams unlike us.
@Dallku @Aurora Bulkualis Totally right. We lost something we had in this team and that was defensive stability. We never used to ship 3 or 4 goals to anyone let alone B level side like Czechs or Polish.

This has nothing to do with losing 5-0. England can beat any team in the world 5-0 on a good day.
The problem is losing 5-0 while looking worse than San Marino. Problem is England looking like scoring any time they went forward and the short amount of time they scored all those goals against 0 resistance.
Albania has played against many top teams but this was the first time I can remember that the team tapped out like bitches from the first minute.
