Easiest task he's had all year. In all seriousness Manaj played pretty well and was unlucky to have his goal ruled offside. Definitely noticed a change in attitude in him as he looks like he's working hard as hell,
If he wasn't so wasteful he'd be a elite striker. Played good these past few games as a starter, now against Roma had 2 great opportunities and couldn't convert. He gets into great positions but needs 5 chances to put 1. Needs to do some finishing drills asap

Manaj is a classic example of why all our players have failed. Just wrong combo of skills.

You have technical dudes like Manaj or Kace who have shit stature. Kace was like 5 feet tall but also scrawny. Veratti is shorter than him but he's strong. You take a look at Messi and hes strong af physically. Manaj was bullied like a little kid by Glik in that Poland.

On the other hand you have someone really big and strong like Dermaku but he has nothing to do with football. Looks like some random big guy off the street.

Only problem with Manaj is that he cannot finish.

Other than that, he is actually a very smart player who is strong physically. Glik did not bully him and even conceded a penalty in front of 40k Polaks.

Manaj was everywhere in that match, and together with Cikalleshi, they were the best Albanian players on the pitch.

Moreso talking about the 1-0 game. Manaj looked like a little kid. And Glik is aging/average at best defender.

Looks like Gjasula is losing his spot next edition. Asllani a much better passer.

Although not seeing much from a defensive perspective.

Asllani is so so good man for a 19year old. Time to get him involved.

Asllani completes his first full 90 in men’s football, Bajrami scores the winner . Good day for the boys.

Empoli launched Hysaj and now doing the same for Bajrami and Asllani. They’re going after the two Shpendi brothers aswell and there are some other albo’s in their youth teams too. Unfortunately they’ll face Inter in the Cup 1/8th.

The work ethic and willingness is there defensively which is the most important thing. He just needs to learn when to/NOT to do certain things like press, tackle, etc. I think that's a matter of experience. He just needs to play more with seniors.

But you can tell he'll be a starter for Albania for years to come.

Ideally you want some long legs in midfield to reach for tackles and win some aerial duels like a Gjasula but Gjasula is also slow as shit and struggles with basic passes at times, especially when pressed. It's a give and take scenario.

High level tall midfielders like a Valverde or Milinkovic Savic are extremely rare even by world standards, nevermind Albanian.

De Biasi took 5 points off the top 2 seeds in 2014-15 using only destroyers in midfield.

Cannot expect to pull off upsets against real teams by trying to hold possession, which Reja learned the hard way.
