Asllani is a defensive midfielder so he'd play behind Bajrami and Bare. If you want to get more defensive and add more cover in the midfield Bajrami can be easily moved to winger and another holding midifelder can be played with Asllani and Bare in the midfield.

I just don't see the logic in benching our best midfielder the past 3 years and a solid La Liga player. There's many things wrong with our NT but Bare is one of the least of the concerns.

Who said he's a top player , the reality is he's a solid La Liga starter which is a good thing. Unless you want us to stick amateurs in midfield just because they have size.

We're a nation who went to the Euros with Swiss League starters in midfield, this is an upgrade. Our best CM since Abrashi in his bundesliga days before injuries got him.

It’s just odd when we have several starters playing in Amateur leagues we decide to scapegoat our best midfielder playing in a professional league. We all know we didn’t qualify because we have several amateurs that get inserted in the starting lineup every single match no matter how poor or unprofessional they play.

He'll never be a top player but what's wrong if he remains mid-table La Liga level? For international level and Albania that's more than good enough.

Bare and Asllani might lose some aerial duels but they have great motors and can compensate with great pressing, marking and decent technical ability. It's like having Abrashi/Xhaka all over again except much better on the ball.

Rather have that than a taller player like Gjasula who can barely move and struggles on the ball.

The best player in 2020 was Cikalleshi, who the other super professionals could not win a match without in nations league, going (0-2-1) on teams ranked below top 100 (3-0-0 with him in lineup, 4 goals in 222 minutes).

Bare is a weak midget who gives the ball away in dangerous areas and gets shrugged off like a little girl. Give me a choice to field Bare or Hysaj, I’ll take Hysaj and run!
